I think it is that the dear opinionated one knows all too well what I'm like! Does that clear it up for you Sidney?

yes but does she want to meet you honey?
Men and their expectations - they make being the Goddess of Love far too stressful!

Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Nov 11, 1999
My expectations are that someone would at least want to sit down and have a nice, heart to heart conversation with me. Is that all too much to ask?

Zed Posted Nov 11, 1999
Women & their expectations are just as bad!
What they actually want is >both<. the romantic poetry writer AND the big bad jock. But not at once. You just have to 'know' which one they want today. Since they don't know either you're just gonna have to find a different girl, who wants you (ATM) -this is the best we can all hope for.
And yes, I do know it's just as bad for women, with men saying one thing & meaning another. It's all part of the great comedy of being human. Like it or leave.
And no, I'm not bitter & twisted or even depressed. I've just had half a chocolate cake, so I'm quite happy.

Not being anywhere near a jock, I've only got the poetry and guitar to fall back on... I've noticed that the one girl who WAS seduced by -- what did I call him, Cyrano? -- back there was not the girl he was after... sheesh... I'm totally honest with what I want... Looks are important but not nearly as much as more personal things... I've noticed that girls who may be plain to begin with become more beautiful when you've been sharing your heart with them for a while...

irvine - its not too much to ask, but why do you want one, they're boring,
just talk about football or favourite spice girl
Zed - Do women and men not just want what their current fave person
is. If he's got blue eyes they want blue eyes, she's got curley hair they
want curley hair...a perm and some contact lens's wont do the trick

Who's Irvine? And I've never had a girlfriend who talked about football or her favorite spice girl...

*chuckle* It's great that the last half-dozen forums I've visited have started off on different topics, but all have inevitably merged into the same one... the perennial one!
Of course, it could have something to do with the fact that the same people seem to be in every one... whichever persona they happen to be using today!
Still, I agree with everyone! Other than that, I have no opinion.

Glad to see you have such a high opinion of girls, oh great opinionated one! So Celtic, Celtic Celtic, and isn't sporty spice just so cool and rock chicky now?? (I'll away and throw up!) Apparently in one of the magazines I was reading, One of the 69 ways to become his dream woman was understand the offside rule. So after spending a painful time trying to explain the offside rule to my boyfriend I gave up, and decided I could be his dream woman cos I understood it, doesn't mean he had to!

I don't believe anyone who knows the offside rule is more
interested in relationships than in football!

Mrs V Posted Nov 12, 1999
That could be very true, hmmm (she goes away to think about that now)

Football turns me off... but then, I'm weird.

Mrs V Posted Nov 12, 1999
Note to americans, I mean real Football here, not that rugby for poofs game you play. And I have been known to miss Celtic matches for afternoons of delight instead,I'm not that obsessed. But then again, theres always the highlights later!

Well, I've never found ANY sports to be an aphrodisiac, either.
Girlfriends
Mrs V Posted Nov 12, 1999
But I don't like oysters!! And besides who needs aphrodisiacs when you've got me??
Girlfriends
Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Nov 12, 1999
