Jack, you could say that about not waking up at home with a traffic cone but it still ends up there.

I know, Mac.
It's like when you go away to a stag do you just know that at least one person will end up sleeping with a fire extinguisher.
There's an inevitability about it.
Anyway, someone has suggested a pre-booze up pint.
So I'm game.
Bye for now.

You got that right, Mac.
Jesus. My head. It feels like somebody is doing roadworks in my skull.
I've surfaced long enough to have a shower but it took so much out of me that I had to lie down for a while afterwards. Still feeling way below par.
I did manage to catch the CL draw though. There was a certain inevitability about it. I just knew we were coming out when Milan were drawn.
I should have stayed asleep.
Anyway, I'm going to attempt to make in to work around lunchtime, probably stopping for a massive fry up on the way. Sausages, bacon, fried egg, hash browns. You name it. I'm having it. Best hangover cure I'm aware of.

Had that fry-up Jack? It is one of the best things possible about being hungover, being able to indulge in it.
Still, at least Man Utd, Stoke and Citeh got tough ties.

The fry up has worked, Mac.
Feeling somewhat better now. Although it still took me five minues to remember my password when I got to work.
I haven't actually seen anybody else yet. I suspect I'm one of the first to arrive.
I was quite amused when I saw the Europa League draw. Although not quite as amused as I was when I heard that Spurs have failed to make it into the Top 48 clubs in Europe.

I'm not sure they're even the 49th best Jack. Forgot to post again.
Anyway Jack, by the time you read this, hope you had a good weekend.

I don't often pop in here on my day off but.....
....the weekend was fine right up until Djourou got injured, Mac.
And I think we all know what's likely to happen now that we're getting injuries to the CBs who are covering for the reserve FBs who are injured and can't cover for the real FBs.
We're screwed.
Anyway, speaking of the weekend, I was at a party thrown by my nephew who has recently got engaged. It was in the house he shares with his girlfriend. All was going very well right up until the moment that the groom's brother (and best man) drunkenly fell into the Christmas tree and brought it crashing to the ground along with some surprisingly expensive decorations and an even more expensive (and apparently much loved) vase that was perched on a nearby table.
It got better. He then felt a little ill and headed pretty sharpish to the happy couple's bathroom which he proceeded to decorate as only a drunken sick person can. He was a full hour in the bathroom (ten minutes getting sick and the rest trying unsuccessfully to clean up the mess) which didn't go well with certain partygoers who had fairly full bladders in a one-loo house.
What a great way to introduce the groom's family to the bride's.
Alcohol. You gotta love it.

Families - you can chose your friends but not your family
I remember falling in my friend's christmas tree and then getting pulled out and falling into it again
Stoopid platforms I was wearing

Morning PSD.
Yeah, families. We'd be better off without them.
Are you sure it was the platforms and not the vat of wine you had previously consumed?

I wasn't drunk - it was a fairly skint Christmas for us - literally one bottle of Bulmers for Christmas dinner and four cheap polski lagers to take to the party!
It was the height of the Celtic Tiger but like most folk we were skint!
Every year since then I have started buying my Christmas drink in during the year! I have a cupboard full for this year!

I've made sure there's plenty of booze tucked away this year.
Just in case we get a repeat of last years's snowfall that made all the off-licences inaccessible.
Last year was pretty much a disaster. We were due to have dinner in my sister's house but for a while it looked like we wouldn't make it. Christmas dinner was very nearly a frozen pizza.
Made it in the end but realistically the sensible option was not to drive.
So dinner and booze at home this year. It can snow for a week and everything will still be fine.

Nah, no Christmas ones, just my tree Jack.
It was good stuff though. Got it all to look forward to again on Sunday.

Morning All,
Mr Yule has just rang - he is ringing the Dail (Irish Houses of Parliament) and wishing all the members a Merry Syphillus and Clappy New Year!
Is it wrong to expect him to be arrested for crank calling

I think, given what politicians usually are up to, it'll be bolting the stable door...
