Christmas? Oh, I remember that. Spent 1/8 of the day watching Blackadder II on DVD while everyone else was watching Titanic. Bliss. And you?

Very quiet really, drank lots, ate some, watched crap telly, then went home and played on PC for an hour or so, while she watched Sleepless in Seattle, and fell asleep.
Get any nice pressies?

Um, Blackadder II on DVD. And a complete set of Spike Milligan war memoirs, which was a pleasant surprise. Hmm, and socks. How about you?

1 jumper, one pair of socks, latest Iain M Banks Culture novel, sweeties (lots ), and a recordable mini-disk player along with 25 blank md's. Lots of wine too
Not bad, really. Actually, probably the best haul i've had in a few years

(The minidisc player, not the jumper, socks, Iain M Banks Culture novel, sweeties, or wine.)

Ho hum. Done any research for the 6th yet? I haven't

I wasn't going to mention it.
Get yourself some cheap DVDs in the sales, the improvement in picture quality from VHS is remarkable, even on a bottom-of-the-range £150 Bush player like mine.

Yes I plan to hit HMV with a vengance. This one is a sanyo, and I'm trying to see if it can be *quick look around to see if anybody nearby might be listening* 'cracked' But I keep forgetting to take the model number with me!
So I shall have to hunt and take a note of all the sanyo ones that can be *nudge, nudge, wink, wink* you know.....

I thought I might get drunk.
Not sure actually, I've got a crowd of rowdy relatives to visit, but I don't know if that'll be on Hogmanay or New Year's Day. Or both, their parties have been known to go on for a long time.
Will you be raising a , or are you perpetually working?

Finish nightshift at 8am on Sunday 31st., grab a few hours kip then originally was meant to be at mum's for Hogmanay. Usual, relatives, copious ammounts of alcohol and rowdy singing. However we got invited to a party at our neighbours (fun people, no kids ) so we are going there instead. Copious ammounts of alcohol, rowdy singing, but the ability to flop in one's own bed afterwards. I've just agreed to go on standby for New Years day (Backshift 4pm-11pm) so at least I'l have a chance to sober up a touch, and get a long lie too
Then backshift until the 6th, then Glasgow

Bloody quiet week here. Even put on my ACE hat and visited about 15-20 people!
*EV falls off his chair in amazement, B-17 helps him up again*
Hope things pick up again next week. It's that time of year I suppose. However, it's the time of year people should be together.
Typical that when I get a chance to talk, there's hardly anyone there
