The man I would really like to nominate is called John Woodhouse. He used to be Chief Software designer for a company I used to work for called Grau. Nobody in the company liked him and he is the only person in the world that I have seriously wished dead. However, unless everybody at Grau is an h2g2 researcher, he's not going to make it, so I nominate:
Bill Gates
If you need to ask why, you've obviously never used a Microsoft product. He owns the company, so he's ultimately responsible. So there!

So many to choose from! But quite possibly.... Princess Diana!

Thanks for the replies to my survey. I hope some more people join in; I'd love to find out who people really hate(d).

Myself.
I accept the most blame for most of the misery in my life.
All the good times I blame on everyone else.

Ooh, yes! I hadn't thought of her, probably because she's dead. My mother-in-law thinks Princess Di was wonderful and the royal family made her suffer. My husband and I (God, that sounds pompous) have had a number of near arguments about it with her. We both think that Princess Di brought a lot of her problems on herself.
So, two more votes for Princess Di (mine and my husband's), but my original vote for Bill Gates still stands.

This is getting interesting. One of my friends voted for George Lucas, but only because the aforementioned friend completely hates Star Wars.

A joint award those two guys who made "Independence Day" and "Godzilla" definitely.

Both equally annoying are H STEPS and ETCETERA GALLUMBITS who yaks on about him all day and, I don't doubt, all night.
I'm suprised she hasn't written an article entirely devoted to what H says and what H does.
I'm pretty annoying aswell, aren't I?

Ah, Etcetera Gallumbits. Known to you as 'Freak', I believe.
(Yes, I have looked at your homepage before.)

That started the day after we fell out, which happened to be a "wear what you like" day. Et really looked like a freak so I kept yelling it at her. Zaphara got really annoyed and so did Et but she kept saying (not to me but in earshot) that she liked being called a freak. So I started calling her perfectly normal.
The next day (Friday-last day of term) we made up.
And there you have my life history as far back as I can remember (or would want to tell someone I've never met).
