Hi Ali - do you like the little extra I put on the page LoL
Nitpicker
I am a real life vegman - I deliver the fresh stuff to about 150 customers every week. No I am not vegetarian, but close - I like to get my B numbers naturally.
First things first - I have changed the email address on my home page and added a few gismos to make it easy. The other went through h2g2 servers and should have worked - I'll test it later.
Start by making a new page from your home page and call it Test, or something like that. On there just try a few bits and pieces you have learned already - Change the page to html, it is less fussy than GuideML when first starting, Plus you can use html anywhere - you can only use GuideML on the Guide.
Tags are like commands in html and one of them looks like this:
If you put this after a typed line of text, it will force a BReak in the text like carriage return on a typewriter.
That is enough to get you started. If you email me now I will send you a little program which will help you learn html. I only dabble in it myself and in no way could I be called an expert.

Hi vegiman
Are you a vegiman, then? Like the carrot man in the old "Thing" movie? Or do you grow vegetables? Or are you a person who eats vegetables? Or are you an environmentally-friendly super-hero?
In any case, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I, myself, am very fond of vegetables!
Regards
Salamander

Hello from big Al a lazy Sunday afternoon can't stop my mind from wandering, lazy sunday afternoon.
What sort of music do you like vegiman, have you heard Chopin's 1st piano concerto, second movement. Or maybe time and a word by YES ?
Or Forever changes by LOVe ?
Let me know.

I love all kinds of veggies and my taste in music is very wide. Just not into trad jazz, Opera, Heavy metal type, Rap or anything that sounds depressing. Favourite Composer Mozart for piano concerto. I am heavy into 1950s/60s music love a lot of country & western - Oh the list goes on but I am sure you only asked to be polite - so I wont bore you with any more.
As I said in an earlier post in this forum - I am a real live vegman - Carrot for a nose, Cauliflower ears and I go totally bananas when someone cruhes my cocnuts.

Hi vegiman
Since you ask so nicely ...
I stumbled on the Fun Run and followed a link to your page. Thanks for the special effects, I'll go to bed with a smile on my face!
What's happened to the Fun Run? The page was last updated over 6 months ago.

It is about to be resurrected soon and I will be asking for people to submit articles for review. I am just getting some of the technical stuff sorted now.
Thanks for the compliment on my page
Oh and thanks for dropping by.

Hi vegiman,
Asking about your choice of music was not me being polite, I am never polite, polite sucks , polite is for polite people. Change one letetr(gedit ?) and polite becomes police. Need I say more !
I love Mozart too and 50's/60's rocks for me too.
Nat King Cole, Beatles, Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, Family, Charlie Pride, I have a wide range of tastes. Moody Blues, Crosby Stills and Nash-Marrakesh Express, Judy Blue Eyes, Neil Young-Old man, A man need a maid, cripple creek ferry-I'll stop cos if I'm getting bored you are probably asleep.
What's the fun run, I am a closet runner, used to be quite good when I was young, many light years ago before Peter Jones and h1g1.

Hi veg,
I like the changes at your page, starman. The explosion scared the **** out of my cat, who was sleeping on my monitor. I got your new e-mail address and will use it tonight. I'm trying to get caught up on that front.
BTW, I liked your personal description. Esp. the coconuts.

Hi Big Al
Ii looks like we have similar taste in music - I do like some of the latest stuff but a lot of it seems so boring - the same beat - One person has a hit with a certain sound and everybody else tries to cash in on it - or it sounds like some one should wind em up faster.
Are Ali I am glad you liked the coconut bit even if I did missssspell it. Your poor cat must have thought the world as coming to an end
The fun run may not be revived as h2g2 have something similar planned and I said I would wait so as not to clash with their new peer review idea.
The fun Run was a place where people could get their articles read by others and reviewed to help improve them.
I have my other hat on again but it is me

Hi vegiman
I'm Bucephalus, the guy who wrote that entry on Lacrosse about a month ago. I appologies for not having to back to you sooner, but I just now read your comments on my entry. I've made some quick adjustments to my home page, so you should be able to drop by now.
I was aware that there was already an entry for Lacrosse, but as a Lacrosse fanatic, I think that a discussion of the rules of the game isn't a good way to interest others in the world's greatest, if least popular, sport. And while I appreciate your kind comments, to be fair I wrote that entry at 11:00pm between studying for Finals... I'm sure it still needs polishing.
I gotta run, have fun, don't get lost.

Hi vegiman
What on earth have you done now? I think I shall have to report you to those researchers listing songs that you can't get rid of!
Little progress on HTML so far but I'm trying.

Thanks Androyd
Nice of you to drop by and thanks for all your help on the newcomers page.
Yeh - I decided it is time to go back in time and enjoy h2g2 - it became so serious for me that I am reverting back to childhood. I may write an article or two just for the fun of it.

Hi veg,
Interesting that you are thinking of reverting to childhood.
I've never left it, I find you meet a much better type of person there. All adullts do is get screwed up with fobias-can't spell cos I havent growne upp yet.
One of my favourite films is BIG with Tom Hanks where he plays the part of a 13 year old stuck in a man's body.
Bye now off to play with my train set.
