Sorry Zaphod
I thought I answered this post - must have been when h2g2 was having problems.
Thanks for dropping in
I do not know of any teapot images on the h2g2 file - but I will check with Mark Moxon the next time we email each other (Thursday).
If there is, I'll post it here

Arpeggio - Keeper, Muse, Against Sequiturs, à propos of nothing in particular Posted Jun 21, 2001
Hi vegiman
Believe it or not, the pendulum swung the other way. Things are good here. Some people are still not happy, but they are a small and quiet minority now.
Thank you for your contribution to my online addictive behaviours. I feel so much better now that the fuss settled down.
Arpeggio and the rest of us who are LeKZ

Nice of you to drop in Arpeggio for LeKZ
I am sorry I have not returned and continued our conversation on your page in my other guise on h2g2 but things have got real hectic here in real life. Getting some sleep in, trying to catch up on many lost hours has priority at the mo.
I am glad things are settling down for you and congrats on your guide entries.
I was going to email you but didn't get around to it. I seem to have a long 'to do list' but I am glad I helped in a small way. As I said, Galaxy Babe and Androyd were strong in your corner - Many of the Aces didnt know who MM was and that is the way I wanted it, at the time.
All the best

Good to see you around again. Whats the new job - has it anything to do with flying or have you moved right out of that area now?
A lot has gone on while you were away but I am sure you will catch up. I hope you are able to stay around for a while.
All the best

Cheers Veg.
Still into Flight Simulation, working in Crawley. I'll never get out of this, I've been doing it 21 years now. It's a good crack most of the time. Got 8 machines to play with now.

I didn't think there were too many of those jobs flying around, excuse the pun. Lucky you ! I bet when you got that job it was an excuse to strike up the band (Another pun).
Is it permanent or on contract?

No problem!
Actually, I want to ask you something-
What's wrong with this code? It won't work It goes to preview message even if you use the input name post and not preview!
I Don't know what's wrong!
It SHOULD Click you through to the view conversation page of whatever forum and thread, with the posting "Subject" with content, "Body", but instead it Shows "This is what your posting will look like.. etc.."
And YES I Have joined the "Don't push this button" Button Pushing craze!

Looking at it quickly I notice you do not have the thread numbers etc - there should be three of them. I will down load you code and look at it further.
In the mean time could you let me have the URL of the thread you want it to go to.
Do you want it to automatically post a message like the Polling Booth or lead just to the thread so they have to write their own message.

Here is the coding for the polling booth and the message etc.
The three numbers are found by right clcking with the mouse on the first posting of a forum. click on the forum name on the left under the snooker ball thingy that lets you jump 20 posts.
it should look like this
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/FFM4773?thread=100063&skip=0&show=20#p836580
These numbers would take you to this thread you are reading now.
FFM # is the forum value number
Thread # is the threadid value number
the p# at the end is the inreplyto value number
Hope that make sense - if any probs - get back to me

Great work!
vegiman:-) Posted Jul 17, 2001
Hi St Trin
Thanks for dropping in.
No, I am a real live fruit & veg man but I do a lot of programing on and off the net.
Glad you liked it.
Hi aka - I se you managed to get the code working - but not long lived when the tag is removed.
I am about to make a suggestion on the features column - it would be nice if you backed me up - Mark has told me it they will not be included in the first draft of the gismos to replace it, but could be considered for future updates.
one would certainly interest you.
