Headsnot: Well, actually, i'm not all that good with the technical side of things, but i think your idea about all using the same sequencer is a good one. I'll have a scout around some sites, and see if i can find one that would suit our purposes.... if anyone else has some reccomendations, just say.
As for me doing the technical bits, well: A) like i said, i'm not all that good at it.... and B) I havn't got a lot of time, what with school and everything... but then again, i can't imagine anyone else has, either.... .. we'll see what happens...
Anyway, i like the progress on the words.... what sort of style are we going for here? just so i can picture it in my head....

I see the future now as I've never seen before
I'm looking down through an open door
Reminds me of the whale from hitchhikers who doesn't know that he's about to hit the ground (BTW why didn't he fly - I mean he didn't even need to *forget* to hit the ground as he never knew what it was ).
Anyway where was I, oh yeah, it reminds me of a hanging. What with the door in the floor and everything. Which would imply a rather short future for our protagonist.
So my last line is,
I see the future now as I've never seen before
I'm looking down through an open door
which seems to just have appeared in the floor

Some strange things happened just then with some tags...where the hell did they come from??? I'm certainly not going to use less than & greater than signs in a forum post again!
Err...to recap,
I see the future now as I've never seen before
I'm looking down through an open door
which seems to just have appeared in the floor
and I wish I was lighter than air

of bones crunching - as my body grinds.
When they see my body what will they find?
Oh I wish I was lighter than air.

What about a fairly standard progression......just to get us started......a minor,c major,d major,f major
.............a minor,c major,e major
.............a minor,c major,d major,f major
.............a minor,e major,a minor.........then we can modulate and expand ......c major,f major,D 7,g major..........etc,etc......and what time sig are we thinking of BTW......the words don't instantly suggest any one in particular......can we have a smidgeon of form ?

Now Shazz!!!!! I don't think the Animals would appreciate us "borrowing" their work! I smell a lawsuit in it somewhere!
And why would we want form?......Most newer groups get along quite well without it!(though, I suppose, it would serve to make us different!)

Well, shazz, we could be REAALLLLY adventurous.... i think 9/8 time would be nice? no....? well, how about being reallly original, and going for 4/4?
Chords? yes... we'll go with Shazz's..... (Of course i did think of some myeself.....).... We'll just mess with the rhythms as not to get sued......

I think I'll leave you guys to it for a while (read notice on my user page ).
I'm off to scout locations for Kkktssh's first video! Now now now, I know what you're saying:
"How can we make a video when we haven't even finished our first song?"
Well... aren't the videos more important than the music these days?
Kkktssh!
shazzPRME Posted Sep 19, 1999
LOL.....I guess that you could be right there....can we have a really exotic location for the shoot?....L&PP....MM is correct...that is a very common chord progression.....have you asked yourself where the Animals got it from?!...9/8 sounds good......4/4 is too common LOL.......but,the way the lyrics are going,I think that an irregular time sig. is the only way to go!
shazz...music for the stars......

How about Cairns? I'm going up there soon (note posted on my page). I'll take a few location shots while I'm up there, okay?

Can anyone here actually make themselves play an "odd" rythum pattern to "House of New Orleans"? (Which was covered from an old '40's country song, recorded originally by none other than Roy Acuff)
Cairns sounds good.......for the benifit of the video, it's best if I'm not there!

Thanks, Shazz......now can we get back to the song?
Has anyone come up with a bridge we won't get sued over?
