I hate deadlines
But I have just written a huge entry (on stars) and tweaked my QEII concert entry for PR. Plus subbing BB's Beatles' Biopics
2 weeks today to my holidayso I've written up my BATS for July and sent it in early
Good news, the dissertation (that I checked through for Laura) earned her a first...

Oh great news for Laura
h2g2 definitely having to take a back seat at the moment, although I'm trying to keep a small flow of sub-eds going through.
Big event this week is the Explorers' dusk-to-dawn hike on Friday night/Sat morning. Hoping we get better weather this year than last when it torrented all night . Forecast at the moment looks promising
I think I'm going to have to give something up; not enough hours in the week

Lovely day
I have to fit in: a hospital trip (mammogram) then visit 3 Homes with Snoopyand we give a Blue Cross talk at 7pm at Humberston Youth Club.
Did you see the anti-cat lobby on the news this morning?
Subbie calling

Ooow, I've just been given your QEII Diamond Jubilee Concert entry to sub...

on Olympics morning.
They just rang all the bells on BBC News (at 08:12) I wonder if they realise they were 12 hours too early?
I bet the Morris dancers have never had so much work!
Am off to the Blue Moon summer lunchtime concert. Gordon's heading for Edinburgh by train to visit one of his twin sons, then riding back to Newcastle where his daughter & her b/f are going to be taking him to St James' Park for an Olympic match.
If you'd rather I don't talk about the Olympics, say so now!

Yes I saw the bell-ringing (quite by chance). Completely pointless at 08.12 and impossible at 20.12. Bit of a clanger I'd say
Wish I could join the Olympic feel-good bandwagon, but frankly I'm turned off by the whole thing. Utter waste of much-needed money IMO. The whole Olympics thing has just got out of hand - the sport has become secondary to the extravaganza.
Ah well...

Understood.
In that case I'll just keep supplying you with funnies: http://www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk/Mayor-wore-sausage-suit-greet-Olympic-Torch-hits/story-16475204-detail/story.html
That story went down quite well at breakfast times on the cruise.
