No, it would seem totally bizarre to me. I'm just a traditionalist I guess. Give me and and and and I'm happy. Easy to please really
Merry Xmas GB

I think it would to me too, but it was a good excuse to demonstrate the latest new smiley
Seems like we're all spending time with family although some (Icy) are not looking forward to it as much as others
Being with the family, it makes the holidays for me, especially when there are growing babies to be (Jaxon is one year old in 2 weeks!)
Merry days to you too, and here's to a fabulous New Year

It's Groundhog Day! And snow is heading our way
Went to the yesterday as my leg still hasn't healed up and he's ordered me an X-ray (just booked the appt, next Tue). I'm busy subbing BB's Superman Uni project, but my day has been made by being informed that I have been told I am the author of QOTD on the FP. That's a first
Is it too early for ?

Coincidences abound, the QOTD mentions Jury Duty. When I was on that, I chatted about my interest in astronomy (<rollseyes> and one of the ladies turned up at the local club last night, how lovely to see her (strange thing Jury Duty, meeting people from different spheres you would never normally meet, form a close bond (?) and then separate never to be seen again). Bonus, bumping into her. She enjoyed the talk too!

Hello Maestro
You might enjoy this experiment: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/04/AR2007040401721.html I know you don't like solo violin but the story is good.
More snow overnight herebut we're off out for lunch (Valentine Day special starts today) less than a tenner for 3 courses, so I'm treating Gordon as he's driving me to the h2g2 meet at Manchester next weekend. Sorry you can't make it

Yes we had another couple of inches last night. It started while I was out at Explorers.
The Joshua Bell gig: I seem to remember something like it being done somewhre else a few years ago, and with similar results. Still would I have responded in the same way as all the others? Maybe not. Street musicians fascinate me. I've seen a lot of them on the London Underground over the years. Some are just plain buskers of variable quality, but some I'm almost certain are students from one or other of the music colleges (RCM/RAM) gaining experience of playing in public for the first time. For those I try and make a point of stopping, listening and watching, so that they are aware of me doing so. Valuable learning.
Enjoy the Manchester meet. This is a dreadfully packed weekend, with me out in the snow for most of it

I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to it, meeting up again with old friends like Bel, MMF & Lil, and finally being in the same space at the same time of someone I've wanted to meet for 12 years, even though her reason for attending has been made possible via a tragic event.
Expect lots of pics, I'll pack my camera and entrust it to Gordon (hopefully no fingers in the way this time)
Have a good weekend, and be careful out there

I was just going to tell you off for not telling me about the 5-year timebomb but seeing as how you didn't know either, I'll let you off

You have no idea how long my first draft is
Thank you, we're taking Gordon's 2 students as we're going to the afternoon meet at Manchester museum, and there's room for one more, which isn't confirmed yet, (probably be the delightful girl called Greta whom I've been taking to the astronomy club for the last few months)
Be assured we will toast absent friends(won't be the same though)

I swaer Andrew is trying to drive me out of my own home
ATM he is teaching his friend Charlotte how to play the drums (connected to his playstation) it sounds like 10 stone-age children rehearsing their annual noise-making shebang for their delighted parents, with rocks & sticks.
