Speaking of the garage, it's a project now finishedsmiley - ok with the windows replaced in December and yesterday Gordon fitted the new electric socket to replace the old cracked one attached to a shattered piece of wood which the window fitters left dangling from its live wire...smiley - yikes

Yes, unfortunately I am now taking flack from daughter #2.

Still had to deal with Mum's errands today of course, strange how children never notice these things.

I bought some wallpaper and paint to cheer myself up (it hasn't worked).

Had a good time this weekend with the first visit of daughter #2 (most of Saturday afternoon) since Andrew moved out, when I went to show her my new bedroom, her reaction was exactly like the one displayed by homeowners to the TV makeoverssmiley - laugh she said she was expecting to see his bed/settee/bunk and get the Andrew smell. "...but this is really YOU Mommy!"

smiley - rofl

Then yesterday there was a BBQ (under a hastily-bought gazebo) at Laura's, to celebrate Karl's birthday. I did tell him that I'd arranged a pageant on the Thames for him, but he didn't seem all that interestedsmiley - biggrin

OK, then you would't have heard Peter Kay introduce Sir Paul McCartney as "Paul Winston McCartney" then. I can't find any explanation for it smiley - sadface
