Well, let's look at it the easy way: You can make judgments about someone's good taste just by looking, or maybe by hearing. But to find out if the person tastes good, you will likely have to get big, sharp cutting cutting implements and hack off a piece of the person, and then decide how to cook it. Much too laborious, especially ifb the person tries to avoid his/her fate.
