Well the quickest way would to be to go to a shell and type "telnet surfers.org 4242" but you'll end up typing in the place where the chat is happening. You'd be better off installing and using tf (follow the link on my article) but see if you enjoy being on a talker before you mess around with that...

No, you can type... but you'll just have to cope with people talking around what you type. If you use tf, there's a separate line for typing in, so you don't get the same problem.
