Seeing as we've wondered on to the subject of computers again (well sort of) I was wandering what first made you decide to use Linux?

We had it in the department (my uni) and I got to love it there, then some bloke called PigleT trained me up to the point where I could do stuff by myself and not need windoze any more. You can find PigleT and many other helpful souls on the newsgroup uk.comp.os.linux

Well I found out about it from a mate who was showing it to another mate and they were trying to buy it from a site so I went home and brought it from that site, installed it, and then left it until I got a modem that worked before I started using it instead of windozes so I haven't been using it that long. I may give the newsgroup a try sometime.

Did you do that IQ thing on the BBC1?
