Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted Feb 9, 2012
Tears at bed time are the worst I fear
When missing the arms of someone who's dear
Another long night of being all alone
Knowing they're not there to answer the phone
Finding no comfort missing them so much
Nothing to hold with nobody to touch
All of those promises that together you made
Are still reoccurring unable to fade
Even if it's sunny tomorrow you still know
You'll get another night for sorrow to grow
I promised you I'd move on but I just cannot do
As there is no tomorrow nothing without you.
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted Feb 9, 2012
At last
We are in the remnants of the day
We wait as night is on it's way
Now there's nothing more to say
At last
The moon
It still makes me want to croon
Like treacle drips slowly from the spoon
It makes all lovers swoon
The moon
Tonight
When hold and do embrace
I see the outline of your face
And your luscious lips I'll trace
Tonight
Still
I want to just lie still
and let happen what will
I feel the passion and thrill
Still
Too soon
The dawn will slither through
We'll be busy with what we do
As I always have to leave you
Too soon.
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted Feb 18, 2012
Ohh when we were young
And were told not to speak
Seven days was so much longer
Than an ordinary week
Every week was Sunday best
And then the golden rule
You could play the devil all week
But Sunday's was Sunday school
With our unlimited energy
Mom would give us all what for
Yet just like greased lightening
We'd all be flying out the front door
Ahh now yesterdays dreams
Along with all our growing pains
Are now nowt more it seems
Than more sorry pillow stains.
Hello again.
waiting4atickle Posted Feb 26, 2012
To anyone who's lost a sister*
I offer up my sympathy.
I'm sorry she's an ex-exister;
It's the same with mine and me.
Her departure left us shaken
And with ashes still to scatter,
Decisions as to where untaken -
In the end it doesn't matter.
Cuz it's in living hearts and minds
That memories of the dead live on,
And spirits wander unconfined
Where they will or would be gone.
Winter nights might get more lonesome
When the weather's cold and drear,
But when you feel most alone
Sometime you'll sense her presence near.
It's no use being broken-hearted,
As life goes on from day to day,
Remembrance of the dear departed
Is meant to help us on our way.
* Or a brother, of course, Rikii.
Hello again.
waiting4atickle Posted Mar 20, 2012
I'm ready to go gentle
Into that Goodnight;
I haven't got the mental strength
To carry on the fight.
And I've heard siren voices
Call across the deep,
Trying to persuade me that
It's time for the Big Sleep.
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted Mar 22, 2012
There's a cemetery I know
Where the white headstones glow
Where there is no voice
For those there with no choice
Some are heros it's true
Not unlike me or you
Mothers,brothers,sisters too
Uncles,aunts and fathers few
Sacrificed for a fat headed politician
Would be masons,the odd electrician
Honest folk who never learnt to live
Cut down like a flower just too give
Us most that we are not grateful for
More lambs to feed the monster that's war
Today I see them regimented still in a line
Diagonal or square they stand so fine
No whispers or laughter from those hungry souls
Wasted to achieve unatainable goals
That leave me speechless with tears reminding me so
That but for them it would be me that had to go.
Hello again.
waiting4atickle Posted Mar 22, 2012
Death is all around us, as we Websterians know,
And I missed Death by a minute just a week ago.
I was on my way to school to get that girl of mine
And turned right at some traffic lights at six minutes to nine.
If I'd been a minute later, I might have been the man,
Driving through that junction, to get t-boned by a van.
Cuz when those lights had turned to red and back to green again,
An accident occurred there and two teenagers were slain.
I've commented before that there's no reason and no rhyme,
And anybody, young or old, can die at any time.
Such tragedies will happen, of that there is no doubt;
All we can do is carry on and hope our luck holds out.
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted Mar 25, 2012
The sunlight's shining through my window
I can feel it's rays upon my face
There cant be anywhere in heaven
That's nicer than this place
It's Spring the birds are nesting
Moss tweaked between their tiny beaks
I feel more aroused with every ray
Than I have felt for many weeks
The apple tree is now budding
Lillies and Alliums are pushing through
The wretched slugs are on their march
Taking their time about it too
The Cherry blossom as always
Takes the prize as an old Cherry tree
However withered it looks all year
In Spring,it still reaches out to me.
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted Apr 8, 2012
You see me as a little long in the tooth
I see you as a mere youth
You've made nothing so there's no mistakes
Me I've driven my life with no brakes
I now know every bend in my road
So I can evenly distrubute my load
No more tantrums and foot stamping ways
No more ill manners or ill mannered displays
Just an odd tsk or the odd damn or two
No need of the swear words that spew out of you
Still you cant hear a single word I say
But it will be you that is ranting these one day
For you cannot comprehend that my words today
Are no longer colourful because I'm just a grey.
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted Apr 9, 2012
Just like the warmth of an old fire
There's always a welcome at home
A place of safety where each desire
Can take it's time to glow
A place of snugly comfort
A loving nest to share
Where many dreams are cultured
Where souls can learn to care
But most of all somewhere
To find a tiny piece of peace
Somewhere to let you unwind
Mind set to slow release
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted Apr 15, 2012
My butterfly you are so beautiful
Your wings are so light and gossamer thin
A body paint so alive never dull
But to describe you where do I begin?
Your wings beat so slow I can see them move
Because they are hypnotic in flight
Their very motion is ohh so,so smooth
As your magnificence captures my sight
To think a hairy crawling little grub
Can turn to so sweet a little creature
Born to scavenge on folliage or green shrub
Now its own brilliant colours feature
Here for me now, maybe for just a day
To watch in amazement, nature at play.
Hello again.
waiting4atickle Posted Apr 19, 2012
There's no use hanging onto things
Just for old times' sake
And it's kinder in the long run
To make a good clean break
It's a painful course of action
I know you're loath to take
But it's best to get it over with
And save a life's heartache
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted Apr 22, 2012
Getting old maybe it's a choice
Or when it comes to time you have no voice
Well all live our lives one day at a time
With tears laughter moments sublime
Maybe the sun too shines for you
If not any other day will have to do
People like hopes can still let you down
But if we cant float our boat we will still drown
The future's a place no mortal has been
Reality is the inhumanity we've all seen
Where every day we fight to stay alive
Then live in awe of why we survive
We are never chosen but in the right place
Yet one blink and another's taken your place
So if like me you are in life's queue
Remember we all breathe shit and die too.
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted May 1, 2012
With all our youngsters on the scrounge
Our elderly queuing in the depature lounge
Just who'll pay all those wretched bills
Wipe their arses clear up their spills
Grease the cogs of all the machines
That are replacing us old has beens
It's like our world's collapsed in despair
Temper's flying along with the hair
Some suggesting we need a cull
Hapless youngsters spitting wool
So the old folks are nicking all the work
While youths misbehave,play the berk
The old un's learnt to do much with less
They're used to clearing their own mess
Where once was cap in hand and snotty nose
There sits a well mannered non comatose
Paying attention to the finest detail
Not an attention seeking slimey snail
So instead of constantly picking your nose
Sit in the park see how the grass grows
Turn yourself from a fat arrogant blob
A youngster with some prospects,a gardening job?
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted May 5, 2012
You know in your own life
That nothing good lasts forever
Nothing bad lasts forever
But the bad times hurt
So we don't forget them
Still we ponder what is life?
For some it's walking in shit
Shit that stains as sure as poverty
The poor dont smell because poverty stinks
They smell because soap is a luxury
While the rich rub the musk
Fresh from the deers testicles
All over their expensively lubricated bodies
The poor wallow in a sea of misery
Made from their tears of despair
Ruled by folded pieces of paper
That will always buy the human race
Somewhere to lay their bills
Today drugs and alcohol
Are the new tools to feed educated fools
Fools who think that plastic money is free
Then they slip like raindrops
Into life's pool of poverty
Yet...with no alternative
What is there to us but life
Maybe one more sip of water
Another breath a blink and goodbye?
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted May 14, 2012
The sun for me hasn't shined
My sky is battleship grey
Cant get you out of my mind
Not since you have gone away
There's nothing to do but cry
But I wont show you my tears
Each time I see you I die
Heartache's the sum of my fears
Each day with my clouded view
I miss you a little more
Yet something inside me knew
You're in me right to my core
When you see me passing by
You will only see me smile
Because I know I cant die
Given sunshine in for a while.
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted May 15, 2012
The night nestles down in suburbia
Cloaking the roof tops and fake chimney pots
Creeping around the corners
Errily making halos around every streetlamp
Moist clingy,cold and consuming
Sweating warm windows
Turning all the houses into glowing lanterns
Boxes where humans hide
Behind their curtains glaring
Staring at a rectangular screens
Transfixed by the fiction that's pumped daily
Into their ever vacant ears
From all their mass media devices
Slavering at the news of a celebrity death
Or the needless slaughter by people
Who've been indoctrinated by a book
A book that says their god demands they kill
All those that are sane,sane?
Because in an insane world
The insane can only rule if they are the greater number
Still we watch our screens
Oblivious, locked and barred in our own homes
Because as the night comes down
The shadows hide the evil of the night streets
Where two legged vultures wait
For any fool stupid enough to think they are free
To stare outside at the beautiful moon
For free.
Hello again.
waiting4atickle Posted May 15, 2012
That old moon keeps shining down
Upon this troubled world;
Generations come and go
And a new flag is unfurled,
That stands for peace, democracy
And all that kind of thing:
It doesn't stop the warfare,
It doesn't stop the murdering.
So if you've ever worried
About that man up in the moon,
If you've ever thought he's lonely,
It could be you thought too soon.
Because splendid isolation
Doesn't seem so bad a thing
When you think of all the trouble
Other people seem to bring...

When your life is really tough
Your best's, not quite good enough
Relax,give youself a while
Try to muster your best smile
For any hurt life deals to you
That rusty knife will hurt tis true
Sometimes we can learn from pain
Ne'er to make those mistakes again
But yearn to see a new days sun
For when that bright new day has begun
The light will still hurt your eyes
This will come as no big suprise
As even the brightest star so bright
Cannot be seen through sweet sunlight
With all its supreme welcoming glow
You'll know,your life's better lived slow.
Hello again.

Once again the money men
Have moved into the temple
Their wheeling and their dealing
Doesn't set a good example
Their gods are growth and greed
But the millions in need
Have lost the faith and nobody can blame 'em
While fat cats prowl around
In the heart of London town
It's no longer enough to name and shame 'em
Cuz they don't know any shame
As they play their cheating game
And they seem to think that nobody can tame 'em
Let's throw them into jail
And refuse the ba$tard$ bail
Seize their goods and not let them reclaim 'em...
