Hi tickle,plenty of space here(just like betwix my ears)

My days are shortening
My nights are too long
Too soon I shall sing
My own swan song
Sleepless nights
Lead to tiresome days
My memory fights
To remember the haze
The fuzz of my youth
Too short too recall
My manner uncouth
My mind too small
Time has no feeling
It just ticks away
Leaving us reeling
As our legs, decay.

As raindrops still the beating butterfly's wings
A solitary resonant blackbird sweetly sings
Changeing position to favour connection
Whistling in each and every direction
So sweet its air too pierce an ear
For those that care to even hear.

Wrong will always beat right
Because right never learnt to fight
The truth can never beat a lie
Its sole answer is to testify
That the guilty will always win
Because truth is the perfect sin.

Love is the fire that warms your heart
The cement that holds when your world falls apart
The ray of hope that can lighten your day
A moonbeam that can show you the way
That when darkness rules and there's no way to see
Love is a beacon may it always guide me.

Hate is a cloud that smothers like a shroud
It booms out its messages mega loud
It puts its neighbours on their defence
Bleating vengenge and revenge must sit on its fence
Hatred what's left when the irrational mind's strong
Twisted,distorted,unemotional,wrong.

Tonight the moon
Tomorrow the stars
Because space is what we need
Space: to move
To dream
To plan
To scheme
To breathe
To flow
To fail
To grow
To learn
To yearn
To laugh
To cry
To see all
To die.

Sometimes wonder,is the only thing we have
It takes away our reality seperating the bad
Stealing precious moments, disapating gloom
Sneaking a ray of sunshine into the darkest room
Trading a life of misery if only for a while
Because dreams can really be your life
Even if it's only for a short while.

Love is not a line drawn in sand
It has no morals or is planned
Though it's shared by kith and kin
It recognizes no ones colour,or skin
It dwells in kings too in schools
Turns the literati into fools
Love makes the hardest cry
It doesn't even have to try
It protects the guilty with its shield
With a bond that cannot ever yeild
It'll never know right from wrong
Love's unbreakable,pussiant,strong.

Moonlight,in my orbital socket, fascinates me
It releases a light that chills so easily
Bending my mind stimulating concentration
Fueling my grey cells with a little intrepidation
Correcting my flight path to see what is there
Not an alien nation but an old waxing sphere?

The last time I saw your face
You Were lying in your own bed
Your eyes closed,at ease
A morphine driver was plugged in your left arm
It had taken almost a week
With no nourishment or water
For such a frail one
To reach this day
I myself could never have freed you from suffering
Perhaps,it is a weakness I never knew I had
My own Life,is so precious
That every second I have ever wasted
I wish I could now lend to you
The worm that had eaten so fine a mind
Had robbed me of all the answers
Answers of all the private questions I'd wished I'd asked
Now I'll never know
I still see your image in old photographs
So confident is the appearance I see
Though time may diminish my memories
My heart still fears the space you have left
Even now many years after your passing
Moisture still clouds my memory
You have gone but Iam still here
Why?
Perhaps it's because the best of us
Never ever leave us alone
Because even in our dotage
It's our oldest memories
And songs that leave us last?

Twilight eats into another day
Night lends us all its lunar display
While hunters creep
Most mortals sleep
To dream,perchance too play?

I stand and watch the river endlessly
Flowing under this bridge
Swirling,bubbling,curling
Past every rock,every ridge
Water can never be alone
For it is all the same
Wether it's clean or dirty
Together from whence it came
Yet it is most precious
Though we think it's free
Once it is polluted
Then so my friends,are we.

We humans are all beasts at the table of life
All sacraficial lambs to the hunters knife
The rich will always devour the poor
Want like need will e'er want more
Poverty clings like soot to the skin
The more we wash the more the stench will win
Hunger feasts upon the hungry who wish
Only the simplest morsels upon their dish
While wealth buys a wasted feast for its face
The prolatariate must learn to learn its place
Which is under the table as the smallest cog
Whimpering,barking,demoted dirty work dog.

There comes a time when the tide is too high
When ones struggle just wants to say goodbye
When it's just so easy to let go
Your mind melts like thawing snow
Sanity trickles slowly away
Incontinence lets wetness have its day
Till all that is left of us is a husk
Like a deers arse but this aint musk
If you are lying there with bed sores and shame
Dont think that you are to blame
Life? well it aint meant to be an easy ride
No room for dignity or foolish pride
It's just a lesson we all have to learn
Like one day we'll all be cold,but still we'll burn.

I feel your breath upon my face
Your eyes illuminate this space
So gentle is the touch I feel
Is this a dream or is it real
Like a shadow that fleets on by
Are you real or deceptive to the eye
But then your lips taste of you
Then I know this to be true
If this is a dream then I'll say
I wish I could dream it eveyday
For my dreams could n'er e'er come true
For Iam nothing,without you.

Our Summer was all of June
It promised so much yet was o'er soon
Endless days of gloom and drear
Grey that reigns most of the year
to much effort to fight the rain
That soaks again,again,again
The drip that washes our dreams away
When indoors is our new outdoors each day
Plans of flowers,scented blooms to reap
Lay sodden,squidgy on the compost heap
The lawn that once was clipped so good
Now lies green,lank and laced with mud.......

...So...You think it's time to break-away
For some the packing takes all day
For him just a few things tossed in a bag
For her,moans for weeks, one endless nag
Then there's the airport check-in show
Waiting hours before anyone can go
Kids feral,racing around
Even bedlam has a more peaceful sound
She's asking if we've done everything right once again?
Gas,water,milk,papers and locks all sorted,what a pain
Finaly we are all now boarding for our cheapest package deal
The butterflies that are rumbling in my belly are real......

...Well...All's well as your plane touches down
The sun's shining you're already going brown(Folderol)
You think the choices you made are alright
Then you realise you're next to a building site
The morning arrives the kids are still half dead
The air con's broke and you're stuck to your bed
There's a queue for breakfast going outside the door
The bacon's limp and the eggs tastes poor
Still you figure there are ways to stay cool
But it's standing room only in the pool
So you venture and go for it outside
The sun's blazing there aint nowhere to hide
Just when you think that you'll get sunstroke
You learn your package holiday dealer's gone broke
So now you've maxed out on your credit card
Booted out of your hotel and your life's hard
Back at the airport with no home fare
Sitting,waiting does anybody care?
The kids are asking "how long must we wait!?"
And all of a sudden,thoughts of Britain are great...

Summer melts into Autumn
Painting leaves upon the trees
Bowing the tops of Sunflowers
Just to please the bees
The runner beans are now finished
Their leaves are yellow now
Old beans hanging withered
Still the Magpies row
The conkers off the Chestnut
Are wind blown in the road
Many squashed and broken
Some will soon be stowed
Leaves are now falling
They bustle and rustle away
As mellow Autumn is calling
A little louder every day....

The wind is swirling and curling
leaves are unfurling and twirling
Busy convoluting,scooting
Flora no longer rooting
The season where damp rules
Of grey skys and water pools
Where leaves stick to shoes
Turn from green to gold or blues
A musky smell from dawn to dusk
Where seed pods fall, husk
With its golden glow spectacular show
Autumn's personal mellow yellow
Is the time when ripe is best
When nature's pallet beats the rest
When people actually notice trees
Kick the leaves and shoot the breeze.
