funny, because I found that it's the opposite with Israelis. If you get aggressive they out-aggress you. Its far better to look stricken and apologetic. Then they feel bad and bend over backwards to help you.

Sad to say, but I don't believe I have known any Israeli's. But if the Lady of this thread is any example, I think the same common courtesy and respect that I'd show anyone else in my daily doings would work out well enough.

Girl, I know that you are not typical of any classification, nationality or anything else. But as the first person of your place that I have (sorta) known, you're a pretty fine example.

My friend, when it comes to people, I never generalize. I have known enough folks, of enough regions, beliefs, skin tones, ancestral histories, and who-knows-what. Enough to know that every person is an individual, made from their own unique life experiences.

So if I like you very much, and yet berate another, it is on individual merit. Or personal short-comings.

I can understand the nerves, Lady. But I can only assume that your threads, letters, e-mails, phones, ... you are pretty sure of who and what you'll meet. All I can suggest is to be you, ... but not knock him over with the first huggy-cuddle-whooo-hooo !!! reaction.

I'm not nervous, as in afraid. Just excited.

A simple idea, my friend. You've what, ... 18 days? Just don't try to say and do everything in your heart and mind right away. Take a day or two or three, ... ease in to the comfy zone for BOTH of you.

Don't worry. We'll figure everything out.

I do know. Whether it's the 10,000+ miles or just the 500 or so that milady and I were apart for a few years, that phone just isn't quite enough. And at that time, phone and surface mail WERE the only options.

Have you thought of a new journal, a kinda place by place run down on where the pair of you went? The pics are cool, (I just looked at the newer ones as well) but a narrative would be interesting to many of your friends. And re-thinking the associated moments may dredge up a smile or two for you.

Maybe. I can't really bother, now; I'm just somehow dragging through backlog. I don't know. When he gets online next I guess we'll see.
