Well helloooo Roy
Hiya wee brighteyed Jen (who never needs a wink of sleep)
Managed to get into WD last night, AND on to the chat line thingymummy, quite proud of meself.
Do you want to know how stupid I am - people send me links to things, and WD sent me a huge link to activate my account, well, wait for it, I have been painstakingly copying the lnks by hand, and only last night realised you could cut and paste them ( thats why half the time I ca't get links to work)
Now you can't beat that for stupidity

Ahoy Roy! Good to see you back!
Lynda, you're not alone. I have technophobia as well. Once I'm into a package - like Photoshop or Word - then I'm ok. But can't do anything else. Haven't even peeked at Writers Dock yet. Took me over a month to get onto Ican - and then found I'm registered with my own name as nickname, and Fat Gardener as my real name. Probably registered as FG as well. Oh well, an extra vote for the cause.

Hi Spidey - quick as a flash you have been and gone! I've never visited a chat room.
I must be an old fogey - better get young before I get old.

Lo ~FG, I managed to get into WD, eventually, and have just been over in the chatroom and it is really weird, I don't think it will suit me at all because I work better with a little time delay to think and type. There, it is too fast and by the time I post the moment is gone and I end up looking like an idiot
Nice to see you back, and I;m looking forward to your story

At this rate the winner will be Kate as she is the only one who has posted.
What is it guys? Low morale, the weather, busy elswhere?
I'l extend the deadline..to the 12th March. Come on, let's make this last challenge one to be proud of..... shakes her pom poms at you.
Go 100 worders, go, go, go, rah , rah, rah.
On the subject of continuing on Writer's Dock. There is another 60/100 worder group too and they would like somewhere else to do their stuff. What say we amalgimate on WD? I've held off setting up a board there till I asked you lot.

I think its a mixture, spidey. GW is dead in general.
I'll go along with whatever you decide - I wouldn't mind either our own group or one big one. I get the feeling another group would soon form anyway, just like it did after this one.

Hi Spidey
I've get some feedback from the 60 word fiction group and I think they want to stick with what they know. Most of them are new to GW and many are new to writing, so the idea of competition and scoring is worrying them.
Also, there are 42 members - if they all transferred to the 60 word challenge, reviewing and scoring would be a mammoth task.
I'm just not sure how writer's dock would feel about two groups - even though they would be doing two different things on the same theme.
What do you think?
Cheers

We need to keep it small if we're going to keep on with the scoring.
And lynda - you can always pm people if the 'instant chat' is too much

karjon Posted Mar 2, 2005
I think you're right, Weaver. I'll ask the mods at WD if I can move the 60 word fiction group there on the 24th March, explaining that it is a separate entity from the challenge, with different rules. If the challenge got too big it would be impossible to score fairly.
Cheers
K.
