Too many clicks to get around the guide. Doesn't really need to be that way. As a developer I can understand, as a user I am horrified. When I write code I always try to go with my user instincts.

About headaches

The headaches have let off somewhat. The neurologist concluded that they are migraines and put me on some different medications. I had a ct scan which revealed nothing. Over all I feel a lot better.

Kitty cuddler

My cat did something unusual this morning. At 1:30 AM she decided that she wanted to be petted and that the best way to go about this was to lie on my chest. Now this does not seem very odd at all, cats cuddle all the time, but this one cat does not lie in your lap. She hates being lifted. She won't even lie next to you.

I can count the two times she has been in my lap over the 6 years she has lived with me on two fingers. Get it? Twice.

She spent about 35 minutes on my chest. I know exactly what 12 lbs feels like now. She vigorously rubbed her head against my hands while purring loudly until she realized I have a cold and my coughing makes her uncomfortable. Then she abruptly got up took the shortcut across my significant other, who woke up with a start, to the lvingroom.

I was so takes by her behaviour that I spent quite some time trying to figure out if she was, sick or the other cat was sick or the building was on fire. Meanwhile she slept in the papasan chair as if nothing had happened.

Violence

The Swedish foreign minister, Anna Lindh, has been murdered. Being Swedish this bothers me. It's hard to describe my feelings. All I can tell you is that the police needs to catch the attacker so that the question why can be answered.

Perhaps that's unimportant, but I don't think so. If this was a random act of violence, or, like som people theorize, a robbery then we have to know that. We have to think about what's happening to us. Are we getting more violent?

One police expert thought that this attack was not simply to kill, but to cause pain. He thought that the stabbing was done in such a fashion as to ensure suffering.

Later on the 11th (after the news of Lindh's death broke) a mentally ill man decided to stab a 5 year old girl to death. Said to be inspired by the violence against Lindh.

Is something wrong with us?

Grammar

Read the page on English Usage in the Edited Guide ( A266131 ), and I wanted to, no, I really needed to show this to someone. This text is from the private space of a researcher with no journal entries:

"This is where any Journal Entries would appear, if this Researcher had made any. Unfortunately they haven't managed to write anything, which is a shame because their Journal is where they could tell everyone what they've been up to. Is your Journal empty too? If so, this is how it'll appear to other Researchers who visit your Personal Space."

Notice how the researcher is referred to using "they" and "their"?
This is incorrect. Check any book on grammar.

It should be:

"This is where any Journal Entries would appear, if this Researcher had made any. Unfortunately he or she hasn't managed to write anything, which is a shame because his or her Journal is where he or she could tell everyone what he or she has been up to. Is your Journal empty too? If so, this is how it'll appear to other Researchers who visit your Personal Space."

Yes, it sounds horrible, but that's not an excuse for using "they" and "their". *brr*
