In profound embarassment and disgust at the acctions of some of our member-avatars (Agnostic Primist and R. Giskard Reventlov), we have decided to take a leave of absence from H2G2. We will not return here to post for a while. Perhaps we will never return. Any posts directed to us will be responded to by Hari Seldon. (We would like to note that several of our member-avatars are unhappy with this descision and may choose to join Hari Seldon and return to the guide, but we sincearly hope they will wait for a consensus and not act rashly.) We first started on the guide in August of 2001 with the U201118 persona. We then set up U222427 for a specific purpose, which is now defunct. Anyway, we have lost the username and password for that account, so we consider it to be in "positronic lockup". We origionally set up U224919 as a seperate persona to be an ACE, but got to buisy to be one. U201116, who we origionally set up by mistake became basicly a clone of U201118. U234848 and U237011 were set up to support specific philosophical and religious views that we sometimes hold.
All of our robots, except U222427, hold views and express ideas that we hold some of the time. However, we have "Multiple Philosophy Condition"--we have several different sets of views and interests and different ones dominate at different times. We use different robots for different sets of interests and ideas.
Please treat our robots as seperate persons and assume that they speak only for themselves. When we want to speak for all of them, we will use this persona or designate a spokesperson.
