Ra - Sun god
Hello Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Ra, the Sun God. In earlier times my name meant "Creative Power". My full name is "Ra netjer-aa neb-pet" ("Ra, the great God, Lord of Heaven".. just call me Ra) and I can be worshiped in my own right as the personification of the vitalizing force of the Sun, or (more recently) as the Lord of the Universe, in short "Amen-Ra" (yes, this is a part time job with Amon doing the other part).
I used to have a hawk head, but that's some time ago. By the grace of modern medical science I now have a reasonably shaped human head.
One of my responsibilities is moving the sun around the earth, or rather getting it to move around the earth. After I employed a Godhead Agency for Management and Enterprise Consultancy for Ungodly Businesses and Enterprises (G.A.M.E.C.U.B.E), I no longer need to move it by myself. I am now CEO of Sunshine ltdand I employ staff to move the sun. The sun however still moves in its old fashioned way: by boat. During the day the boat is a great galley called Madjet ("becoming strong"), travelling through the waters of heaven. During the night, we have a small barge called Semektet ("becoming weak") to transport the sun through the canals of the underworld.

Unfortunately I can only discuss the weather in your favourite holiday resort, but I will not change it. And for weather forecasts I'll put you through to my public relations department.
Oh, yeah.. by the way.. of course there is no real need to worship me, unless you happen to be between 5th and 18th dynasty Egyptian.
