Mala, I agree. I recall the hassle you had with Wuppertal university a few years ago. Germany is a nightmare of bureaucracy.

If it doesn't come off could he get a job as an Au Pair? It would involve taking care of children and he may be able to 'live in' with the family. Which might be a good thing.
Is a nurse for the elderly working in a care home or a hospital? I know here you do'nt really need any qualifications to work in a care home, or even in a hospital as a 'care assistant'. It's only the trained nurses who need qualifications.
