I learnt this from the new scientist book do polar bears get lonely (i think it was that one) that hamsters are energy consumers not producers so they re not green. To power britain if the hasmters ate wheat then the rest of europe would have to grow the food. The whole energy consumer thing is also overlooked in the matrix films.

Hamsters would be green if people ate hamsters, right?
