Never found any Moroccan wine, I don't think (Elektra might remember), but we used to drink Tunisian wine, which was quite nice.smiley - smiley

i'm told the tunisians pick all the grapes off the vines before squashing them and then store the wine in earthenware jars instead of oak casks. because of this there is no tannic acid in the wine and even people with migraine can enjoy it smiley - geek

hstwrd

That seems a little suspect. Wouldn't wine with no tannins be very bland? Usually it's that other thing that gives headaches. Sulfites I think it's called.

How did we get from common dyslexia to wine? Oh... never mind.

well, that's just not what i've been told. my ex-sis-in-law swears to tunisian wine.

let me see if i get this right: if you and hstwrd agree i am outnumbered and you have voted away migraine?

in that case, could you please vote away a bit of gravity as well? smiley - tongueout

There once were two ants in Westphalia
Who wanted to go to Australia.
But cursing their feet
In a Belgian street
They gave up the trip as a failya.

here's the original version (off the top of my head so may not be 100 % accurate):

in hamburg war'n mal zwei ameisen
die wollten nach australien reisen
in altona auf der chaussee
da taten ihnen die beine weh
und so verzichteten sie weise
dann auf den letzten teil der reise smiley - zen

You can call me TC

You may have looked it up the meantime, B'El, but tannin is the same in German, isn't it? The German word is Gerbsäure.

I wondered about that, TC. It is something I associate with tea, rather than with wine. smiley - silly
