It's like baseball, except you use a smaller, one-handed bat, and (usually) a tennis ball. And, of course, you don't have to wear silly trousers and peaked hats or any of that nonsense to play it.

None of the people in those photos appear to be around any more...

Ooh, thanks for explaining. We used to play that a lot when we were kids, we called it 'Rundball' (not sure about the spelling as it's supposed to be Danish), and Rund means round.

It's a long way off B'El, so I can't honestly say. I'd like to get there if I could though.

Do you think we could make it the official spring meet? Then i wouldnt have any sensible excuse for not at least trying VERY hard to be there.

I know I can't make the middle of the week, and I guess most who don't live locally can't, so I thought I'd go for the weekend closest to the birthday party, hoping to at least see Hypatia then.
Up to you (or whoever else) to suggest it as a meet date - if enough people vote for it, there's no reason why it couldn't be an official* meet.





*The Italics haven't attended any meet since January 2006, so any meets are only semi-official anyway, if you know what I mean.
