h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

second weekend in May next year*. Thought I'd let you know so that anyone who's around (or would like to be around) can plan accordingly.

*That's 8 to 10 of May, just ten days after hootoo's 10th birthday, and even closer to Towel Day on 11 May, plus I fully expect Hypatia to still be in London as she plans to celebrate her 60th birthday on Wednesday, 6 May.

I'd love to join you, Bel. I don't know what I'll be doing next May, though. Daughter El will be only a few weeks from the biggest exam of her life, the Leaving Certificate; her place in University depends on the results she gets. She needs to get an A in six of her eight subjects to get into the course she wants.

That's right around my birthday, too, so it'd be a good excuse... will have to see what my vacation plans will accomodate. I'll mark my calendar.

May 10th is my birthday, and as it's right at the start of the cricket season I'm hoping the Cavaliers will have a match that day. I may have to refuse your kind offer

It would be great to meet as many friends as possible that weekend.

Gnomon, my son will have his exams in May, too, which is why there's no way I could make Hypatia's birthday in the middle of the week. Still, I thought I should at least try and see her, even if it's a bit later that week.

PC, would be great if you could make it. Same goes for Reddyfreddy and GB.

And if nobody will, you'll come up to London?

I doubt it, I'm afraid. I hate London, and there are many more places where I'd rather spend my birthday. If we can't get a game, I'll probably go to Spain for a long weekend. Sorry.

It is my long weekend for working, and I've already booked my two Saturdays off for my annual leave.

Looks like I'm just not destined to get to Meets in the foreseeable future.

However I'll see what I can arrange.

Maybe meet up in the evening, as I should finish work around 16.00?
