About the new smileys:

Seems the Eds are going through the suggestions and will ask the Community Artists to see what they can do.. I think smiley - smiley

You have to tick the: ask me where to save the download (or something in that vein) for Chrome in tools. It's what I did right away.
The lack of menue bar in Chrome is deliberate from what I know. To be honest, I don't actually miss the one from IE.

About those smileys: are they unsafe for recipients of the emails, too?

**About those smileys: are they unsafe for recipients of the emails, too? **

They can be but the majority of e-mail programs scan incoming mail for potential threats like it and they tend to be blocked as a result.
You sometimes get a mail for example where images are not opened and you're asked if you want to see said images, then you have to manually click on them or the message. Hotmail and Yahoo are usually good at that though sometimes they can just block everything as well. smiley - erm You end up with a square with a cross in it and a message akin to 'click here to see image' or 'if you know the origin click here to open'.

Outlook Express? That's a program that's now defunct since Vista. According to the MS site they no longer offer any support for that. Windows Live Mail is the replacement now.(not hotmail).
It's funny actually, Outlook Express was one program I never used from day one. It'll be interesting to see how long Hotmail keeps going once Live Mail get's a hold. smiley - erm
There's already a new look MSN page being planned, sadly it'll mean adverts appearing which aren't on the existing 'My MSN' Pages. smiley - erm

Oh, so far I've ignored every message telling me about Windows Live Mail. I quite like Outlook Express cause I don't have to be signed into my email account to get my emails.

You don't have to be online to receive your emails via Live Mail either smiley - winkeye

You know, it was interesting: when I searched for comments about Chrome, I came across a newspaper site (and not a dodgy one) reporting that data protectors from Switzerland advised users not to use Chrome if they used other google products (like gmail, or google search engine) because google would collect too much data.
Made me wonder why they didn't advise people who use Microsoft products like Outlook, MSN etc not to use IE.

Because they don't collect as many data.

Google is first and foremost an advertising company. They make their money through predicting who would be "interested" in which kinds of ads.

Don't you belive that myth that MS collects less data than google.

I remember when I wanted to install MSN messenger. The husband point blank refused to fix any problems I should have with my PC if I did. He claimed that MSN was just one more means of MS to spy the PC.
I think he is right.
