Hi again Jim, I have a package from my telephone supplier that gives me digital TV, Broadband, landline and mobile phone. It's digital cable system that comes in from underground however there's a junction box on the wall where it comes into the flat that sprang a leak during all this rain of late. Result was I lost all except the mobile phone. Now resolved, as well as some adjustments made to the various filters that were fitted 'inline' to the modem and digi-box. The digi box is purely for TV though, there's no internet facility on it. I had to go for the cable option as we're not allowed to have a satellite dish fitted to the building, housing association rules. smiley - erm

Glad it was fixed so soon. Poor sister Fizzysmiley - mouse is currently without internet connection, due to her ISP provider playing silly buggers. She'll be with a new ISP soon, so I hope she'll be with us next weekend.

Shame for the smiley - mouse, mind they have had some seriously extreme weather of late so no surprise. It's not like she has enough to cope with is it? Lets hope she's back soon. smiley - smiley

Yes, let's hope the change of ISPs will bring her back here.

Lets hope she goes with a reliable ISP. I don't know what ISP's there are in her part of Ireland.
It was the weather that caused my problems, the test for the ISP was how soon after they could sort the problem. Have to say mine were pretty good. I was told initially it would be Monday, (tomorrow) the earliest but they sorted it Friday pm. Considering it was still pouring with rain then as well it was pretty good. At least, so far so good anyway. smiley - biggrin

Yes, that was really fast. smiley - magic

I guess only time will tell whether Fizzy's new ISP will be any better than her current one.

I'm still using Chrome. It does have some nice features, and for the rest I still have IE7.
Oh, and from what I understood, Chrome is still in beta, too.

Btw, I have magic powers smiley - witch

Guess who's just written a journal about her odyssey with ISPs?
