Hello
LadyChatterly Posted Jun 29, 2003
you're very perceptive...
I'll tell you next time I see you...I've been writing reports today.
And watching 'About Schmidt' :o)
Hello
Uubbaguubba - Minister of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - Keeper of the Tuber Count Posted Jun 30, 2003
I've just read a review for About Schmidt and it seems to have got blasted! Also read one for Irreversible - definately won't be watching it.
What went wrong at the dinner?
Hello
LadyChatterly Posted Jun 30, 2003
About Schmidt was take it or leave it. I don't think you should watch Irreversible
I just felt very alone...from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. The Second Master spoke for me. I suppose there were compliments in there and my son Chris says he thinks I've just focused on certain bits but they all think I'm really tough and actually I'm not so I found the 'humour' difficult at times.
I hope some of that makes sense...I'm really tired and i have had to prepare a Chapel service for tomorrow...the Chaplain's away. The topic is the Inner Self...based on Harry Potter
I'm still writing reports btw
Hello
LadyChatterly Posted Jul 1, 2003

Good morning Helen
I'm quite well thanks .
It appears things are starting to calm down for you, it did look like it went manic for a while....maybe that's why you didn't enjoy the dinner - too stressed?
I'll speak to you soon
Geoff
Hello
LadyChatterly Posted Jul 2, 2003
Sorry I thought I'd replied to you...
I think they're always just so false and you're there with people you don't necessarily get on with. Anyway I did it
I'm writing my report for the School magazine now lol
Well, I was, now i'm going to bed...so it's goodnight from me and it's goodnight from the dog
Hello
Uubbaguubba - Minister of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - Keeper of the Tuber Count Posted Jul 3, 2003
That seems to be the way with formal work functions, you can put up with them at work because you don't have too much choice....but you don't necessarily wish to associate with them outside!
I hope I'm not the only one who feels that way.
BTW...I'm listening to Nimrod as I write this (with a cup of coffee)....relaxing
Hello
LadyChatterly Posted Jul 3, 2003
You LIKE Nimrod???
Well...the latest? A bit fell off my tooth and I think it's the same bit he repaired about 6 weeks ago!!!
I'm about to take the dog for a walk...reluctantly...no energy...just want to chill with French Connection II. I'm going to get The Streets of New York out at the weekend. Year 10 tell me it's great
I have had some lovely presents given to me this week. Tomorrow evening is my House leaving dinner. Tutors and Upper VI. Usually we go to a Restaurant but this year my Assistant is hosting it so I expect she and her husband will be arguing right now
Hello
Uubbaguubba - Minister of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - Keeper of the Tuber Count Posted Jul 4, 2003
You sound happier today, dental problems excepted!!!
French Connection 2....good film . I watched Bullitt last night, I remember it being more intense first time around - not that I'm disappointed - it still has a great chase sequence!
How was the Harry Potter sermon? Excuse my ignorance but how does that work?
Hello

Hello Geoff
I haven't got long...been busy all day again and I have to get ready for the Leavers' Dinner having just got in from work (6pm)
I had to wait 25 mins at the Dentist this morning but he's fixed it (I think!)
I will let you know about everything later. It's Speech Day tomorrow so I had to write myself a note to remember my gown lol
I've finished the Pupils' Reports but still have to finish the report for the Magazine and I will have to go into school on Monday to clear out my study. Hopefully, apart from the Examination results, that will be it.
Have a nice weekend if we don't speak
Helen

Uubbaguubba - Minister of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - Keeper of the Tuber Count Posted Jul 8, 2003
Well, its been a busy few days....so busy at work at the moment I think my head's going to explode - too much to do , no time to do it in....guess you know all about that tho
My PC took a fit on Saturday..should be up and running tonight (fingers crossed) Fitted a new drive and some other bits and pieces and it all went 'yampy'!!!!
Anyway, how are you? How was your weekend?
Are you winding down yet? or are you still hard at it?
ooooo questions, questions
Hello
LadyChatterly Posted Jul 8, 2003
Hi :o)
I'm fine thanks...finally got my study cleared out today and I finished my House Report for the magazine yesterday lunchtime.
Trouble is, I've brought rather a lot home to sort out here but I've dumped it in the garage (with everything else) and will do it at leisure.
You must be pretty nifty with puters!
I'm going to do some serious cleaning in my living room tomorrow and then I'm off to Warwickshire on Thursday (to drop the dog off) and then to London on Friday...Shania here I come
Glad you've got it fixed

Have you got your cowgirl outfit ready? Any nifty line dancing moves worked out? Yeehaw . Sorry, I couldn't resist....she's not the typical C & W singer, is she!
Hello
LadyChatterly Posted Jul 9, 2003
Yeehaw?????
Actually I can do line dancing although i can only remember one basic one
I'm off tomorrow so I'll let you know how it went next week. Apparently going to some Zandra Rhodes thing on Sunday.

Have a good weekend Geoff

Hello
LadyChatterly Posted Jul 16, 2003
It was very hot but the music was great, apart from the Mavericks who were pants.
I am still in your neck of the woods...my car has been very poorly but i will be returning tomorrow when I will give more details.
Hello
Uubbaguubba - Minister of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - Keeper of the Tuber Count Posted Jul 16, 2003
Glad to hear it was good....suprised the Mavericks were no good....quite like the singles - thats why they were single I suppose!
My neck of the woods? Not visiting the fens are you?
It's just had a pour down (with thunder and lightning)a lot fresher now
Whats up with the motor? - nothing terminal I hope!
Hello
LadyChatterly Posted Jul 17, 2003
a very nice man got it going again...it was almost terminal i think. However, it meant that I was near Coventry until today instead of last Tuesday.
I will be out of action for a few days...I'm having an op tomorrow. Will send you more about last weekend when I can.
We had thunder and lightning too
