Well done Traveller in Time
Only yesterday I was waiting at a swing bridge over a canal and pondering upon the sign that warned that the bridge was not suitable for track laying vehicles and wondering why anybody would want to contruct a railway here anyway
NOW I understand what they mean

Traveller in Time charging the Turbo
"(Just close your eyes and drive) Well, I did that once
Sign says Maximum 2000 Kilogram, nobody conciders driving over it with 70 Kilometer per hour on 10000 Kilogram tracked can be done . "

I think I will close my eyes and drive, well not literally ... I still think in cwt, tons and miles the kilo versions leave me completely blank.
A tank may just be the answer when it comes to these wretched road humps!

Hi TT,
Thanks for the postings and of course the great replies, especially from wendy, what a treasure!
Wendy! please read some more roadside signs for us, I never had such fun and giggles for quite while, not from postings or current events anyway.
Had a very ungiggling day last week TT, first my computer crashed and I lost all info.
Then I slipped on wet grass on our lawn and broke my bloody leg, I was going to the G.W. party in Manchester to meet some of the old gang, but it will be almost two months before it mends properly.
Summer coming to a close, motor bike polished, fully fuelled and rarin to go, and here I am, playing about on my brand new top of the range supersonic computer watching the days go by and waiting.
Just keep posting everyone please, logicus is going great guns on Morewriting, so from here and there, plenty of entertainment is available.
Thanks again for all your assistance TT.
Cheers H.

Are you capable of driveing with the leg ? "

Break a match LM these crises come in threes, or that is what my dear mother always used to say. Hope you soon recover from the broken leg ... ouch that sounds painful.
Excuse my ignorance but what does G.W. stand for?
As for road signs, where does one begin?
On a slightly different note have you become slightly irritated by stickers/signs in car rear windows ...like "Baby on board" ..... they are everywhere regardless as to whether there is ACTUALLY a baby in the car ~ which defeats the object as surely these signs are designed to inform the emergency services to look for a baby if the car is involved in a serious accident.
There was one that really made me laugh "Mother in law in boot" and there were some stick on fingers as if somebody was trying to prize the boot lid open from within!
Hastily add ..... no offence intended to mother-in-laws.
