Backgammon...i never really got the hang of that one...chess is my game.
I have really been that close with my parents...another reason why i decided to take a year off and come to England...so i could try to build some bridges with them.

Im not incredibly that close to mine either, i do wonder if you know my dad though, as you both went to the same school, and grew up in the same area, my dad has just turned 49, but im a little to scared to ask!
Yes, my mum lives out in Italy, so yes that was the reason for going, they went to Italy as there is no work in Scicily. Im thinking of picking an Italian book up for Luke, as he picked it up so easy, and it is so good for kids to have another language. If you can master Italian, you will easily manage Spanish, as the two languages are so similar!

Well...i guess you had better ask then, he is older than me, but not by much...so it is also a bit scary for me cos i am really enjoying chatting with you.
With that i am going to have to log off for a while at least....Sam has just come in and is itching to get on here as she is late. If i get the chance i will come back on later...if not i will hopefully catch up with tomorrow.D.

mmmmmmmm, scary! So, if you know my dad then, does that mean you are going to stop speaking to me then Sorry, just a little sarcasm there about your comment, your worried as enjoy the chats. They do say that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. Ok, start this of easy, first name is....... Gordon. Ring any bells? He grew up, cant remember the name of the road, but it was a little bit down from the Clay Pigeon, on the other side of the road, more towards the high-street.

No way is it going to be me stop speaking to you...i'm scared that you are going to stop speaking to me if i do know your dad.
So far i don't think so. I used to know a lot of people from the clay though, way after school, but i don't know anyone called Gordon....did he have a nickname that he was more commonly known by?

I dont know if he had a nick-name. Also, not sure if he drank in the Clay, he grew up just by there though. Surname is Irving. He had long, brown hair back then, and was a mod. He was 21 when i was born, and met my mum at Reading Festival, her name is Michele, and she was from Reading. So if that doesn't ring any bells, i would presume you dont know him!

I went round to my dads for dinner one night, and we where talking and we where talking about things from yrs ago and about his old friends, and my brother sat there, and he couldn't get his head round the fact that i knew my parents friends from when they grew up. Had to explain to him that they had me young, so yes i did know there friends from yrs ago, (my brother is 9 yrs younger than me, and my sister is 7 yrs younger than me) but he really couldnt get over it Must be a little strange though.

Just the shock of it! You dont expect to bump into someone you know that far from home! Actually i went to Tenerife at the beginning of the yr, ended up kissing some guy, then found out he lived down the road from me, should have seen me, i ran a mile, left the poor guy standing there dumb-founded!!! Too close to home! Small-world!

I know what you mean, i had Luke to young, and if i ever decide to have more kids, which i dont think i will, there will be a huge gap. His 7 now, so by the time i settle in a relationship, he will be at least 10, and i cant see myself settling into a relationship for quite a fews yrs yet! So looking at a HUGE age gap there!
