It's next door!

Yes, Christmas smiley - holly, smiley - santasmiley - bubbly is tomorrow, and we are prepared... (I think.)
So, in the midst of all this welcome and lovely smiley - starsun, I just want to wish everyone a wonderful time, a happy day and a marvellous holiday with their families. If anyone hasn't got the chance to be with their families (or hasn't got a lovely family to be with) I am smiley - sorry to hear that.
If they have to work, I suppose it all depends on the nature of the work. Doctors, fire fighters and the like will be used to it, but my sympathies anyway, unless you enjoy your work a lot.
Remember - Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

Too close to Christmas

Which has snuck up on us! smiley - hollysmiley - santasmiley - gift
Some Christmas cards, two presents, some Christmas food and two parties so far. It's a shock how fast the time goes, it seems to accelerate about October, as if it's going downhill at terrific speed.

And again! Tears before school time...

13th October, and we heard on the radio this morning, that although Cheatmeister came 8th in Japan, he won the championship!
Jimmy was rather upset, and got me to give him the $$ to pay the bet he lost. (Is that fair, I ask you!) The constructors' championship cannot therefore go to Williams, which is what the bet was all about.
The rain it raineth every sodding day, I wonder what Wm Shakespeare would make of this?
It is someone's birthday tomorrow... smiley - cakesmiley - bubbly (I shall not name names.) Jimmy and I have prepared a cerebration thereof...
On a more serious note, there was yet another bombing in Baghdad this morning. Will the Americans *never* learn? smiley - peacesign

Oh Please!.... Schumacher strikes again

There was great wailing and mourning, when we saw Michael (Cheatmeister)Schumacher win the American Grand Prix this morning.
We feel for Juan Pablo Montoya, but congratulate Kimi Raikonnen, who is (I must say) a sweet looking boy.
JPM needs a miracle, but one never knows, miracles can happen.
We have global warming, no, really, that's why we have had a 24 hour storm, with winds of 100 kph, and torrential rain and flooding. *This* is spring?
smiley - musicalnote Robert Palmer rang down the curtain and joined the choir invisible, on Saturday. That was a shock! I didn't particularly like his videos, but he did have a great voice. smiley - musicalnote

We've just had an earthquake that was 7.1 on the Richter scale - apparently it was heard in Sydney. smiley - ermI believe that should be felt. Whatever.
It was felt mainly in the South Island, which was good, because I don't do earthquakes very well. When we lived in Wellington, the local newspaper used to regularly publish articles about 'What to do when the big one comes'. Note that's *when* not if...
In the rest of the world, the Americans are hard out recruiting other powers to occupy Iraq. Why would *anyone* want to do that?smiley - peacesign
