Team meeting
Posted Dec 15, 2011
We had a team meeting tonight, with icecreams, and got our chrissy pressie. 2 thick bamboo cutting boards and a $30 voucher. I have been scouting stuffs to buy for the last week or so.
I bought a bamboo cylinder with 7 bamboo utensils,2 spoons, egg flip, tongs etc, and a small led torch..... that is telescopic and bendy, and magnetichead, perfect for picking up dropped screws and bits, Still got $10 left on the card. We also got told we are the top team in the country for clearing our yard every night. The night before last (14th) we had a record 201 pallets in, 28 went into topstock (put above the selling shelves as a complete pallet, we are a warehouse afterall), 14 were promotional stock, and where dealt with, and the rest, a crew of 12 put away...we only had 7 pallets left in the yard, I managed to do 8 fiddly ones, all cleaning products...
And on that note, I was also told last week, our store has moved, in the last 6 months from 5th in the country, selling cleaning stuff, to 3rd and as of last week to 2nd! However we have a long way to go to beat the number 1 store........ which is the biggest in the country, about 6 times as large as us.
Sometimes, I really love my job.
This is one of those times

Sumo! Day the Last
Posted Nov 30, 2011
Sumo Salad that is,
As it is now finally summer again, I will be eating salad, as much as it pains my carnivorous heart to say, as I believe salad is what food eats!
Anyhoo, moving right along and back to the topic at hand, Sumo Salad is a salad based fast food place, and I have taken a liking to several of their salads, so in summer I either buy from them for lunch or make my own version.
One I particularly like, is their 'Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad', where I substitute the croutons for either marinated mushrooms, or corn depending on my mood.
I like watching them make the salad fresh and I also get every 10th salad free.
They also do a range of ready made rolls and wraps, yoghurt's and fruit salads,. They look so loverly, and if I wasn't gluten intolerant, I think I could eat here all the time.
All in all a rather nice and different fast food, and one I actually look forward to in Summer.
And that is me done for the month.
I hope my readers have enjoyed the little look into my daily life.
I have enjoyed doing this, an mayhap i will attempt to do perhaps a weekly journal or something
