Rings! Day the Twentififth

Today before work, I went and picked up the rings I had dropped into the jewellers on Monday, they looked awesome, so shiny and new, I really should get a new silver cleaning cloth.smiley - biggrin

I browser his little shop, and now want to go back, I saw a beautiful wooden jewellery box, made from rosewood and mahogany I think, and a bracelet that was rather nice......I can but dream, as I need to save my pennies for a convention I am going to next year.

Work was again steady, and I got another Customer Service Badge, a nice customer had filled in a survey praising me for the help I had given them, it is always nice to be recognised. smiley - cool

I think I have about 18 of them now. I should probably dig a few out and put them on my apron, but I keep losing them or breaking them, so I usually don't worry about it. I know I have them, and that is all that really matters

Pleasant! Day the Twentifourth

Today was very pleasant, very normal, very ordinary, just the sort of day I like.

I knew it was going to be warmish today, so I snaffled a good pallet.

One rather large (about 6' high) Selleys pallet, I knew this pallet would take me hours...and why did I want it?.....because the aisle it mostly goes in is directly under our aircon blowers......... so I was working in a nice cool breeze smiley - biggrin.

Selleys products include super glues, construction glues, gap fillers, sealants, silicones, spakfillas, sugar soaps, foam fillers, carwash thingos, descalers, mould removers, and bbq cleaners.

The only incident of note, was a pallet that broke under the weight that had been piled on it by the supplier, several photos where taken of the result and an email has been sent to our Boss. Hopefully the supplier will be given a stern talking to, and better quality pallets will be used in the future, it really isn't a good thing when half a tonne of tiles go crashing everywhere smiley - erm

I am looking forward to tomorrow, Oates will be in, and it too is located in an aisle beside a blower...I wonder if anyone has figured out that the stock I prefer to put away, is usually located in an aisle close to a blower?smiley - winkeyesmiley - laugh

smiley - cheers

Shorts! Day the twentithird

So, the weather is hotting up here, summer is starting to kick in.

It is time to pull my shorts from the wardrobe, hunt out my trusty razor, shave the forest that has grown since the last threat of hot weather, and expose my legs to the world.

I hope there are free sunnies available at work tomorrow, as the glare from my frog belly white legs will be enough to blind. smiley - laugh

We are ramping up to hit the high 30's this week......and is only November!

But that is okay, I don't mind the heat, would rather hot than cold.
I am looking forward to being able to ride the scooter, without the heavy jacket, overpants and gloves

roll on summer

Dentist! dat the Twentitooth

So, today I was off to the dentist for a second time.

I did quite a lot of research before choosing this dentist, he is probably at the top end of dentists. It is a small practice, just the dentist, 2 hygienists and a receptionist. He doesn't do 'one off' treatments, he made this very clear before treating me. He has worked out a whole treatment plan for the next two years. He also allows payments in advance, so the bill doesn't come as such a shock smiley - laugh

He isn't cheap, but I feel ...not totally relaxed, but certainly I don't mind going, and I don't mind paying extra for that peace of mind.

I have another appt in February, to replace two aging fillings, I can see one is crumbling, the difference between the x-ray taken today, and the one 4 months ago, is clear to see.

And in June next year I will get a crown put on the tooth that got the root canal, normally that would have gone on today, but I have to wait 12 months before my health insurance will cover 40% of the cost,.

Then there will be a bridge to replace 2 missing teeth, which may entail the removal of a front tooth, that has drifted sideways into the gap, but thankfully, that is a long way from now.

Sekrit Day the Tewntioneth

Whilst shopping yesterday, I was also on the look out for a sekrit santa pressie, and I ended up with 3 little things, that I think the recipient will smile at and enjoy. So today I got the paper to wrap it and a naughty giggle card.

All was good, till I went to wrap said pressie.....and I realised I had no tape.....smiley - eureka.. I did have yellow electrical tape, so my problem was solved.

I now have a nice bundle, ready to take to the Post Orifice tomorrow, just before my dentist appointment in the afternoon.

This is a follow up from a root canal I had 14 weeks ago, now I get the temp filling removed, and replaced by a permanent filling, and get the other half of my fangs cleaned.

My smile will not only be pretty, now it will be nice and white as well. smiley - ok
