Mundane! Day the Thirtieth
Posted Nov 29, 2011
Today was just that, there was nothing odd or unusual, no odd customers, just plenty of nice ones, which is always a bonus.
I mostly put away paint tonight, and covered C's break, as the co-ordinators rostering skills leave much to be desired.
A nice couple came by, I made several sample pots of colours for them. The tint machine decided to play up, so I had to remake them manually. Something I didn't mind doing, but it can get finicky, with the very small amounts of tint involved.
That was the highlight of my day.
Tonight for dinner I was a bit naughty, and had bacon and eggs, and a little bit of steak. I am going on holiday Thursday, so I didn't do my usual weeks work of cooking, so I am cooking on the fly.

Hair! day the twenti9th
Posted Nov 28, 2011
Today, I finally got the haircut I asked for 12 months ago.
12 months ago, I went to get a bit of style in my hair, I wanted something like a bob, I came out with a style that was nothing like a bob! The back was layered and my fringe was choppy, and one side was sort of spiky.
I knew I should never had taken my glasses off for the whole cut.
Now, I have a nice classic bob, only just though, the sides still need to grow just a bit more, but the main shape there. Now I just need to buy a round brush so I can shape it each day before work.
And just to finish off the day I am roasting some chicken wings with chunky herbed vegies, sipping on a nice glass of wine, and watching 'Grand Designs' on iView.

Tempura! Day the Twenti8th
Posted Nov 27, 2011
I am gluten intolerant.
I can have very small amounts, but my diet is essentially gluten free. This means if I have yummy stuff with gluten in it, I will suffer the consequences.........if you ask the Snow Meow, he will state he suffers with me as well
However, in just the last couple of months Woolworths/Safeways, have brought out a new range of gluten free baking mixes, with things like banana bread crumpets! and my latest try out, tempura batter.
Tonight I had battered fish, with battered potato slices (potato scallops) and just for fun I battered carrot slices and cauli pieces.
It was just delightful.
When I started down the road of gluten free, about 15 years ago, there was very little in the way of any gluten free breads, pastas, biscuits, baking mixes, very little at all, and what was out there, was very expensive, and only just edible.
Now there is a huge range of choices, breads and pastas, that taste like bread and pasta. With this latest range, I can get some real food back in my life. it is still more expensive, but I am prepared to pay extra, to get quality foods.

Nails! Day the Twentisixthth
Posted Nov 25, 2011
So, I am sitting here wondering what to write about, and I pick up my nail-file and start to clean my nails.........
*blinks*
*blinks again*
*looks at nails*
OMG! I have nails! and I need to clean them....this is astonishing!
For all of my life, as far back as I can remember, I have picked at/bitten my nails, but sometime in the past weeks, I seemed to have stopped....possibly since I have been doing this journal, how very odd.
I actually have nails long enough to need cleaning under every night.
I am gob smacked and amazed, and more than a little chuffed.
I wonder how much a manicure costs?, I have never had one, as I have never had nails before.
hootoo is a wonderful thing, it even cures nail biting
