Well, I have tossed it out as a thread drift option on the photo album thread. We seem to all need something to talk about while we await more photos (where is *yours* btw?)
Most recent thread drift topics there have been about sex and food. So now we shall see what happens there with your idea.
I still don't know who I'd choose. Perhaps Isabella Rosselini? Or Caroline of Monaco? (we are almost exactly the same age). Hmmm.

Morning az,
Wow! Isabella Rossellini. Yes, good choice, I'd want to watch your movie. (I'd want to watch it anyway).
Just passing through. Back soon.

Isabella Rossellini has long been a favourite of mine. She is not only stunning but she seems to have a lot of character and is also quite a serious businesswoman as well as being a mother. Also her film roles have often been quite challenging. And let's face it, anyone who could portray *me* in a film would have to be up for the challenge.
Strangelittlegirl added another factor to the personal film idea - what would be the soundtrack?
All I can think of right now is plenty of Tom Waits.

Isabella Rossellini is Ingrid Bergman's daughter isn't she?
Soundtrack? Now that's a good idea. Let me think...
Maybe Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' album would fit, with contributions from Queen, Status Quo and perhaps Fleetwood Mac.
I may revise this after a bit of thought but it's a good first stab.

Yes, and she has all of Ingrid's amazing beauty but with a darker Italian look to it (her father being the celebrated Italian director Roberto Rossellini).
Were your soundtrack suggestions for your own movie? They don't seem to fit at all in my life story.

"Were your soundtrack suggestions for your own movie? They don't seem to fit at all in my life story."
Huh?
Yes, naturally.
But there's a challenge - guess someone else's soundtrack.
Hmmm, azahar's soundtrack??
I'm getting touches of Fivepenny Piece, New Seekers and a hint of Shirley Bassey. There's some Celine Dion in there but not the 'Titanic' song and a Mariachi (sp?) band playing Elvis Presley hits. The final credits roll to something from Carly Simon.
Weird eh?

Oh god, do you have me totally WRONG music-wise or what??
Celine Dion - total ick.
As for the rest, I won't even comment!
I gave you the hint with Tom Waits. It goes from there. Very slowly and bluesy. Though I'd like to fit Paco de Lucia in there somewhere, somehow.

bookmark? Do you think I'm being totally flaky? On the god thread, I mean?
There just are never the right words somehow.

Flaky? You? Gosh, no.
I just thought I'd keep the place until I worked out what it all meant. There was a lot of deep spiritual stuff in those postings (not just yours) which I thought was interesting. Chai's especially perhaps.
I may not agree with it but I can appreciate the beauty of it.
I certainly wasn't going to sully it with some inadequate words of my own.

Bluesy?
Can I add a touch of Candy Dulfer to my list please?

How can anyone not like ??? I can understand about the seafood bit (just barely) especially if one has an allergy, but rioja?
Anyhow, what about *your* movie soundtrack?

Fathom Posted Jul 7, 2004
Perhaps I should have made that more explicit:
Ugh, vomit composed of half digested seafood paella and rioja
I thought I'd offered my soundtrack in post no.444
And what's wrong with Kenny G? It's very relaxing.

azahar Posted Jul 7, 2004
Oh sorry, I thought you were referring to *my* soundtrack in posting 444 (it's always me-me-me, isn't it? ).
Kenny G just sounds like lift/supermarket music to me.
Well, I guess the only good thing one could say about half-digested seafood paella and rioja vomit is that it would go down the sink and one wouldn't have to kneel in front of the toilet . . . always look on the bright side, that's what I say.
Oh! That could be one of my songs!

Fathom Posted Jul 7, 2004
Actually lift/supermarket music would pretty well cover my soundtrack. Perhaps with the odd burst of Meat Loaf or something.

azahar Posted Jul 7, 2004
Let me guess, Meatloaf singing 'I would do anything for love'? or what was that other one . . . damn, can't remember.
Okay, I also really like the soppy one by Frankie Goes To Hollywood - the Power of Love.

Also a favourite Robert Palmer song called She Makes My Day - though of course this would have to be sung *to* me!
