Hi there
azahar Posted Jul 13, 2003
morning Alji,
No, I don't have Real Player, I have 'Windows Media' - but I can open other radio programmes using this. Well, now I am curious about what this is and I can't listen to it!
Time for

Az, you can download RealOne Player for Windows @ http://forms.real.com/real/realone/realone.html?dc=714713712&type=bbc
It's free

Alji,
Well, it's bizarre! Is there something specific I should be listening for?'

How much have you listened to, he's on for three hours every night Monday to Friday.
What should you be listening for. Wenglish
Chris lives in Cwmafan not far from where Richard Burton was born.

Alji,
I think I've been listening for almost a couple of hours, but I am not always in the room - did I miss it? I heard him speaking some Spanish awhile back.

There's no specific place Az, Wenglish is the way English is spoken in Wales, especially in the valleys.
Chriss lived in Gibraltar for 11 years. He speaks Spanish, Dutch, English, Wenglish and some others.
There's a fine example of Wenglish about 35 minutes in.

Noggin,
So does this means that you speak Wenglish now since you are 'almost Welsh'?
Alji,
Are you Welsh? Are you a member of the garden?
az
Hi there
alji's Posted Jul 13, 2003
Az, I'm mostly Welsh with some English, Scotish and Spanish.
I don't speak Wenglish all the time but I have been known to lapse now and again.
No I'm not a member but I do listen to him on night shift.

Alji,
Part Spanish too? My 'Canadian mosaic' background is mostly Irish (father's side) then also Canadian Indian (Cree) and Scottish.
Wenglish sounds somewhat similar to the way they speak in Bristol (pronounced 'Bristow?' - everything in Bristol is a question).
btw, you didn't answer my question from a few days ago about two Capricorns being business partners - good idea?
Noggin,
Did you get the photos of my 'family' and my view?
az
(no, have not been sitting in front of the computer all day - am mostly sitting on the sofa reading, enjoying an EXTREMELY LAZY Sunday - every now and then I get up to see if anything is happening here.)
Hi there
Noggin the Nog Posted Jul 13, 2003
Got the photos.
There's supposed to be the odd Welsh ancestor in the family tree, but language wise I'm English.
Just taking a break from mowing the lawn. You wouldn't BELIEVE the amount of grass cuttings that come off it . It's my belief that the Welsh mountains are made up entirely of grass cuttings.

Grass cuttings and slag Nogg.
Sorry Az, where did you post it?

Alji,
On the 'hnm' thread that you started on my personal page.

Hi there
azahar Posted Jul 13, 2003
Noggin,
Finished cutting the grass? I can't seem to get off the sofa or even get dressed today - though now and then I come over to the computer to see if anything is happening here.
Kale lent me her new Harry Potter book yesterday - started it this morning and am now on page 248. Big time intellectual read but in fact I find that series of books quite charming. I know the whole HP thing has been hyped to death at this point, but I try to ignore all of that. Anyhow, it is turning out to be the perfect thing to do on a lazy Sunday. Pleasant light reading.
Well, but THEN I just got a phone call from a new student who was supposed to be taking classes every day in July. She just called and told me she has decided to stay at the beach for the rest of the month. BAD news for me. F*ck. Thought I was almost going to be able to 'make it' this month. Sometimes I hate my impecunious life. It's so tiring, in every way imaginable.
And so, back to the sofa. Tomorrow is another day, another Monday. And I shall have to pull my energy together to try and line up some more work somehow.
But not today.

ps
that sunset photo taken from my balcony was about a tenth less as gorgeous as it was to see it in real life.
also, the 'family photo' was dusty - sorry bout that

Finished cutting the grass.
Three days of hot sunshine.
One day of pouring rain.
Grass now needs cutting again.
So how's your week been?

Hi there
azahar Posted Jul 17, 2003
Read book 5 of Harry Potter - was extremely upset that my favourite character got killed off.
Whilst riding my bike this morning I had to brake quickly to avoid small yappy-snappy dog that suddenly appeared at my ankles - and broke my brake! Joder! Bicycle repair shop closed for holidays! Double joder!
Four days of blazing torrid incessant sunshine - well not unlike the past month or so - am being to suffer from meltation . . .
Unfortunately meltation does not seem to affect body fat. (sigh)
Lost all-important student who was supposed to be coming every day all month (€€€!) - decided she'd rather go to the beach.
Still haven't found all-important much-needed two tenants for extra flat - less than two weeks to go (yikes!)
But the good news is . . . ummm . . .
I'll get back to you on that once I make something up, okey-dokey?
