I'll pass the message on.
Oh, and it's probably down the back of the sofa or in the cupboard under the sink.

In fact *everything* is either down the back of the sofa or under the sink.
What is IPEP?
unloved,

Hi there
azahar Posted Jul 12, 2003
Sorry, was just very very tired last night. So went to bed early.
In fact, it's not the 'unloved' bit that is so much the problem - it's not having someone to love. Either dear friends, family, lover. Just cats! Well, this is certainly better than nothing.
Anyhow, didn't mean to go all maudlin yesterday. Was just tired.

ps - just watched the most gorgeous Spanish film on dvd. If you ever get a chance to see Los Lunes al Sol (Mondays in the Sun) I think you would really love it. Have you finished The Lovely Bones? I am now reading The Autograph Man by Zadie Smith - I think you might like that one too.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm not really close with most of my family, even though they're about (some of them), and I don't socialise that much; not a party person. But someone special would be nice, over and above my friendships here.
Finished the Lovely Bones a couple of days ago. Touched a lot of issues in my own existence.
Currently reading Evolution in Mind by H.S. Plotkin - which isn't a novel, in case you wondered.

Well, I am about to socialise this evening - for a change! My friend Kale (who is also one of my next door tenants this summer) has her boyfriend here with her this weekend and they have decided they want to take me out for dinner. Yipee!
You're not close to your family? I got the impression you were with your nephew's greeting on your personal page. My family are a buncha weirdos (like I should talk! ) but I reckon I am living quite a comfortable distance from them. And the people who are my 'best friends' I can count on one hand, but none of them happen to live in Sevilla. And as for lovers - ha!
>>But someone special would be nice, over and above my friendships here.<<
I hear ya, honey. But you know, this sort of thing seems to get so much harder when you get older (like us!) I think a combination of being more definite about who you are and what you need and want and just being a bit 'old and lazy'. I mean, I'm hardly about to get dressed up and go out on the pull! Ick. And anyhow, approx 99.9 of the people I meet are strictly 'acquaintance' material. (hmmm, wonder what that says about me?)
So, what are you doing tonight?

I just realised that last line might have sounded a bit Mae West, come-onish. Really , was just asking if you had anything planned to do this evening!

Well, just for a moment I thought, maybe...
I'll probably read a bit, watch a bit of TV, hootoo a bit... the usual, really.
My nephew's probably the exception. His mother (my sister) is er... dysfunctional? so I'm in loco parentis to some extent.
Enjoy your night out. Have a on me.

azahar Posted Jul 12, 2003
'loco parentis' - crazy parent? (sorry, just being silly)
What's the problem with your sister? How many siblings do you have? I have one sister, four brothers. And lots of nephews and nieces that I don't know.
Okay, must go and do SOMETHING with dreaded hair (the bane of my existence!) as I'm supposed to be meeting my friends in about half an hour. Will definitely have one for you! cheers!

Az, click on this link; http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/radiowales/shows/chrisneeds.shtml
then click on 'Chris Needs: latest edition' (you'll need Real player to hear it).
Let me know what you think of it.

hi Alji,
Sometimes I think it might be easier if you just said what you thought and felt instead of passing on links to things - well, especially with me maybe. I went all through the Chris Needs page and cannot understand what it was I was supposed to 'get' from that. Couldn't find anything audio!
Otherwise and that, was nice to hear from you! I hate to think that all my old God thread pals will forget me.
kissitos,
az
ps
any hints about the Chris Needs page would be greatly appreciated . . .

hi Noggin!
You still here? I'm just home from much tapearing and mucho rioja - lovely evening out showing my friends some of the best tapa bars in the neighbourhood. And after we took in a bit of flamenco. And now I have 15 pounds of lurve (fat cat Sunny) on my lap, making it very difficult to type.
How was your evening?

Az, in the orange section on the right hand side under 'Listen to' there is a link ' next to a little pink/red block with a white loud speaker logo [it looks like <) ]. The link says 'Chris Needs: latest edition', just click on these words.
You will understand why, when you hear the programme.

azahar Posted Jul 12, 2003
Oh, well you should have been here then - we had fun. It was just nice wandering around the centre of town and stopping off here and there for something nice to eat and drink, and also nice conversation. I quite like Kale. This is the first time I've met her boyfriend but we were all pretty comfortable together.
Might see them both tomorrow again before they head off for a ten day tour around Spain. Holidays!!! It seems like everyone except you and me (and Math) are going away on holiday!
(sigh!)

Noggin,
Just emailed you some photos.
Alji,
I can't get the radio programme to start up - perhaps I screwed up something today whilst downloading a music dowload prgramme. Anyhow, will try again tomorrow - off to bed.
