So, Tolkien has released the orcs from their thousand year limbo in 'Beowulf' and they've become a commonplace of pop fiction, have they?
I'm not sure what I think of this development.

its hilarious
the hoard turns out to be weapons the dragon has collected from a different dimension, ours....and the weapons are firearms, so under the curse the orcs start to become orc marines, and during 'the final battle' where the forces of evil are supposed to wiped out, the orc marines put up a spirited defence and start to win, out numbered they breakout through the army of light and make a run for the safety of their keep, where the army of light lays siege to them, all very tongue in cheek

Just got home.
Laundry, dinner, neighbor with computer trouble.
I picked the wrong day to quit sniffing glue.

It's been pleasant here. A nice touch was the young man walking down the street playing a banjo.
It's a unique neighborhood.

don't the eyes shut down after a certain amount of time without a post? I'm usually logged on for most of the day. I'm not sure if the eyes are there all the time.

We had the edge of a big storm go through town this evening, the main part of it being a little to the south. I just saw this:
