Had my first counselling session today - the problem I have with first meetings with people who want to know *everything* about my life is that I usually just sit there for 30/40 minutes and watch their jaws drop lower and lower and I have to stir up things which make me feel miserable.

Just have to tell myself that I'm doing the sensible thing, that the stirred up stuff will settle down.

Crappy day today and I want to go to bed but my counsellor has asked me to try and get back into a normal sleeping pattern.

Yup. 'Sleep Hygeine' is important.

I'm not sure I like the thought of always stirring up old and bad memories. I know the things that happened to people make them the person they are today, but sometimes it can be better to forget all that horrid stuff, leave the baggage behind and focus on the present.

I suppose it helps your counsellor to understand you, and identify with you better, but I really hope that going over bad things hasn't made you feel worse than you already were feeling.

I suppose I am speaking from my own experience with life that often throws tragedies, and am not always in the most cheery frame of mind myself. Anyway, as I said, I just wanted you to know that I am still here if you want to vent your feelings, or just to keep us up to date with your news.

My friends are being supportive in spirit, but none of them wants an obese, Scouse Sadsack cluttering up their homes, which is kinda understandable.

My sort-of ex is usually good for times like these, but he was the guy who cheered me up a couple of weekends ago and we have a recharge time of a few months.

One mates having me around for dinner tonight, which will be nice especially as I'm going to defy the police and walk there, and I'll probably get invited for a drinking session with another mate tomorrow night.

Just have to keep plodding on.

School have called me in on Tuesday. That's something to focus on.

I'm glad they are moving quickly to resolve this situation. Make the most of the few days 'holiday' that you have left.

Dinner with a friend last night turned into... something else. So that's killed a couple of days.

Had the meeting at school where I got to put my side of things across. Nothing really to report, just made a point of saying that I thought it was a joke that got badly out of hand and that the person making the joke, and later complaint, was they guy I'd gone to help me calm down.

Got to wait for the call from the headmaster to go in again.

One thing that really did get my back up was the school ordering me to ignore the police's advice and make my own way into school for the meeting. My assailant was at the bus-stop and threatened me again.

I'm really sick of this city.
