I don't have any experience of what to say/do as i've never been in this situation before. I just hope that it works out ok.

That's... unexpected. There must be a reason why they aren't speaking to you, but I guess unless they speak back it's hard to find out why.
Good job you're leaving, huh.

Sounds as if they *might* have been told of. The school supported them to start with.... perhaps the tide's changed (all the better for you). And let's face it, 'friends' so eager to get you into the crap in the first place (especially in the stressful circumstances) don't rate high on the scale.
And then again, it might be something completely different
Whatever the case, be cool

I've just had the details of my disciplinary hand-delivered* and it doesn't make for pleasant reading. I can see why no-one is talking to me, having read the evidence they provided.
This really isn't helping my mood, just when I thought I couldn't feel worse.
this, I'm going to bed.

*How the letter got delivered had got me rather annoyed. I get a call out of the blue from one of my colleagues, asking where I live and saying she's got something for me. Not a member of senior management or HR, just someone who happened to be coming into town. Didn't get a call from HR or the Head. Pretty disgusted with the school, but when in the last month hasn't that been the case.

Lawyer mate reckons the school has breached at least a dozen points of the ACAS code of conduct and that I've got a good case for constructive dismissal if that's a route I want to go down but without being in a union, it'd be a hard fight.
Apart from that I've had diddly-squat from the school, which is about par for the course. I've got a meeting next Thursday but there's issues over whether I'm actually going to it: they've scheduled it in school hours (which they're not supposed to do), they've scheduled it at the school (which they're *really* not supposed to do) and they've failed to arrange for transport for me to get up there and so want me to ignore police advice again.

Nah, she's advising me on the quiet. So I'd either have to pay her, which I can't do, or she'd have to do it pro bono, for which she'd have the get permission from her employers.
Just got my hands on the official disciplinary procedure for folk like me and it turns out the school was supposed to review my suspension 4 weeks. 4 weeks was a fortnight ago and I've still had nothing...

Does your lawyer friend know of any system whereby you could 'officially' get free help?
Does she think that writing a letter pointing out the problems would help (if you signed it she wouldn't be involved)
Are you sure it's too late for the unions?
And can't you contact some 'work tribunal'/employment standards inspectorate or something like that.........
Questions, questions, questions. Sorry, I guess you've been through most of this stuff with RL mates.
But good luck and I hope you're feeling more like yourself

Well, at this stage there's two diverging issues: my actual disciplinary and the action I'm going to take against the school because of their completely unprofessional dealing with me.
Lawyer mate has said she can help me with writing letters, wording and references to appropriate bits of legislation.
Union won't get involved with an ongoing case, but I might be able to join and then launch action against the school.
ACAS are the work tribunally people, and I'm going through their code of practice, where the school has messed up, but they won't swing into action unless something tribunally actually gets going.
