I have no doubt... Shame it can't be used for society's good.
Well, whatever happened has broken up and they're all on stage... Sounds like the opening of "I want to Break Free"
As explained on another thread

TeaKay Posted Nov 4, 2004
I dunno- they all tend to stay in Corby. That's for society's good. Don't want them roaming all around the country.
Yey!!!! Is there a spare guitar anywhere?
Yes, I remember.

TeaKay Posted Nov 5, 2004
Nah, believe me, you haven't quite got Corby people down there...
Cool. I'll grab it and join in...

Want to bet?
Actually, people round here aren't so much interested in petty theft as they are insurance scams, substance abuse and rape.
Go for it... Just don't try and upstange Jimi, he's very sensitive about that.
*shhhhh......*
TeaKay Posted Nov 7, 2004
There's not the intelligence round here for insurance scams. Plenty of substance abuse though. not sure about the rape. Don't go out late by yourself, ya hear?
I couldn't even if I wanted to... one of the natural laws of the universe.

Existential Elevator Posted Nov 8, 2004
The insurance scams seperate the high class scum form the low class scum.
I'd be too afraid to anyway...
Well don't try...
Go on, get onto the stage!
*shhhhh......*
TeaKay Posted Nov 9, 2004
Got a feeling I'm stuck to the bottom of the boots of the lower class of scum...
Me too. I prefer being out at night. At least then if someone attacks me they're doing it out of desperation rather than a simple, basic urge to be a t**t.
*takes the stage. tunes up. plugs in...*

Lower class scum don't wear boots, they wear trainers....
Oh, I'd rather not be out at all. At least not round here.
*anticipation*

TeaKay Posted Nov 11, 2004
We don't wear anything on our feet down where I am. We just scrabble around looking for some good mud.
I can see the attraction with staying in. Even more so if it's with good company and a warm fire.
Time for a cool-down set, I think.
*starts to play, no gain, almost acoustic- sounding...*

"come see the violence inherent in the system! Help help, I'm being repressed"
Sorry; just popped into my head..
I'm severely lacking in both on this end. In fact, I've spent most of the day indoors alone. I still am. I still will be untill 1am.
It's not that I don't like going otu, it's just that I have nowhere to go and nobody to go with. Admittedly I should forgo both and find my own fun, but it's easier said than done.
Wish I could hear it.. bet it sounds fab
[has just had her guitar out and attempted to play the tab, but it was rather awful... never could do chords on guitars.. probably should have learned bass]

TeaKay Posted Nov 14, 2004
I predicted that you would reply with that, or one of it's companions in that scene.
I am as well, unfortunately. Just cos I said it's nice doesn't mean I've got it
I don't dislike going *out*, it just depends what I'm doing when I'm out. And who I'm doing it with. The answers are usually not much and no-one, which is why, generally, going out doesn't happen all that often.
It's only the first half of the intro, and even that's from a live version of the song that you may not have heard anyway. Just happens to be one I'm teaching myself at the mo, and is quite relevant to a slow- down acoustic session.
Reminds me- I still owe you that lesson...

Existential Elevator Posted Nov 15, 2004
Am I really that predictable?
Same thing on this end. I don't generally have a problem with going somewhere, but severe lack of good company is rather a hinderance.
Sounds good though, can't say I recognise it... CAre to put me out of my misery?
Ziggy was fab... I've forcibly repressed myself from playing it again..and again..and again.... must..listen... arrgh!
Lesson still owed.. I'll bring the sand, remember?

I think it's more that we're on the same wavelength... When I typed what I typed, it made me think of what you typed... I guessed it would have a similar effect on you, too.
Maybe someday we'll be able to help each other out on that count.
If you don't recognise it you probably won't be kicking yourself when I tell you- the intro's pretty unique to this particular recording. It's the Live Killers version of Love of My Life- I've been teaching myself to play it, so it was in my head.
I'd record the whole thing if I had the means available to me. You won't get me singing though, I wouldn't be doing Mr Stardust any favours.
I'm ready and waitin'

That particular quote had been sitting in the back of my mind since you mentioned the boots of lower class scum... You just happened to jerk it forward quite nicely.
I shall look forward to it.
'Fraid it doesn't ring a bell Good intro, though...
Shame You definite do him proud on the guitaring though.. I'd offer my vocal talents if I had any
*shhhhh......*
TeaKay Posted Nov 15, 2004
We're too alike.... :-s
Me too. Definitely
You don't know the original song? Look it up, it's a nice one.
I'm sure your vocal talents are greater than mine, no matter how bad you think they are.

Very alike... Not a bad thing
Actually, random interjection.. I was watching Rocky Horror on Friday, and I noticed the ceiling was blue with gold stars on it at one point. I thought immediately of this conversation...
I'll make a mental note to...
I severely hope you don't have any money riding on this assumption. You might find yourself rather out of pocket.

Existential Elevator Posted Nov 16, 2004
Would the original version be by Queen, by any chance..? Popping it into a search gives a suprizing number of different songs witht he same name...
Key: Complain about this post
