Existential Elevator Started conversation Oct 13, 2004
*you walk into a darkened forum*
*someone flips a lightswitch*
*As you look round you worry slightly about the purpleness of the room around you. Somebody has painted the ceiling black with shiny stars. You think this person has very bad taste. A rather interesting looking bar is in the corner, and the bartender looks suspiciously like Freddie Mercury*
*To your left you notice a stage. Music starts playing and you realise that Jimi Hendrix is on guitar centre stage, and Marc Bolan is providing vocals. You feel amazed that the rather mummified Hendrix can manage the guitar so well.*
Well, it would hardly be a suprise birthday party if it was on time, now, would it?

TeaKay Posted Oct 13, 2004
Firstly- black ceiling with shiny stars = bad taste?!?!? /Worrying/ about purpleness!?!?!? You don't know me at all...
Secondly- I do hope Marc and Freddie are going to share singing duties?
Thirdly- care to join me on this gorgeous purple chaise longue with some and some nibbles to watch the entertainment?

I did it to what I thought might be your taste, but then decided I may have overdone it I have shiny stars..they used to be onmy ceiling, but they've migrated to my mirror Too much purple is occasionally a cause for worriedness.
Freddie is on a break at the moment, but if you speak to him nicely I'm sure he'll give it a bash Apparently he just did a big gig at the gates of Heaven...
mmm...chaise longue... /that's/ good taste
I guess it'd do well to sit back and watch the entertainment for a bit

TeaKay Posted Oct 13, 2004
No, too much purple is not possible. You're talking to a guy who has a purple furry headboard.
Wicked.
Purple furry chaise longue...
Take a seat, next to me as my guest of honour, and enjoy the show

Existential Elevator Posted Oct 13, 2004
...and a very fab furry headboard it is
Don't be shy. Go up and ask him
*Freddie smiles and winks from the other side of the forum*
Mmm, very cozy
Thankyou very much *pulls up another chaise longue*

You've only seen a rather blurred and dark image of it, though... you wait until you see it in all its glory.
Lol, sounds like you're heading in the wrong direction there...
Hey, there's room on this one. I don't bite.
TK[1]

Existential Elevator Posted Oct 15, 2004
It wasn't that blurry and dark...
Freddie: Calm down mate, you're way too young for me. I was being friendly, like... *sulks behind the bar*
Oh, the other one can be used to rest feet on, then
*shhhhh......*
TeaKay Posted Oct 17, 2004
Well, you want to see a real- life view of it anyway... can't get the full effect until you've seen (and felt) it in real life!
Not a very good impression there... More like "Calm down, darling, I was only being friendly! Drinks are on me!"
Excellent idea! You're more like me than I am...

Existential Elevator Posted Oct 18, 2004
Oh yes....?
Sorry, my Freddie went a little Lister then Don't worry, the drinks are free anywho
Okay. So if I'm you, then who are you? Would that make you me? That would mean that I'm you but you're me anyway therefore I'm still me.
*shhhhh......*
TeaKay Posted Oct 19, 2004
Yes indeed. That's an open offer. And I'll even come and pick you up from the station. On foot, if need be (you can have a piggy- back to Geddington, in that case).
lol. I dunno Really?!!? In that case, next round's on me!
I didn't say you /were/ me, I said you were /like/ me. That makes your argument invalid and the whole thing almost infinitely simpler.

Existential Elevator Posted Oct 23, 2004
The piggy back isn't necessary, I'll just make sure I wear sensible heels
'course it's an open bar, what kind of fantasy party would this be otherwise?
*Freddie and Jimi have taken to the stage and are dueting on "Crosstown Traffic"*
Fine, spoil my fun....
*shhhhh......*
TeaKay Posted Oct 23, 2004
It's a long way... takes about 15 minutes in the car, and a couple of hours by foot (though I have only done that particular walk at 2:00 am, in the cold, and the dark. Just glad it wasn't raining).
I just thought I might have a never-ending wallet supply instead...
That's a wicked track, would love to have heard Freddie doing that, lol.
Sorry, but there's a whole lot more to be had.

Everything is a longer way in the middle of the night...
I'm not too sure how long it would take to walk to my nearest train station. I'm not terribly convinced my nearest train station is actually in the same town, to be honest.
No need for money here
Would be a decent version, I recon... Freddie certainly seems to be enjoying himself, but Marc looks a little left out.
Good
*shhhhh......*
TeaKay Posted Oct 26, 2004
Especially when you're by yourself and there are very few streetlights.
Mine certainly isn't- Geddington isn't currently serviced by its own station, so we have to go to Kettering.
Woohoo!
Surely they've moved on to something else by now?
*Tops up EE's hot chocolate*

Not pleasant. I wouldn't feel particularly safe doing that.
Oh, most of our local towns have a station. Including a sub-town.. most of our towns are made from sub-towns So there are effectively 4 local stations
Yes.. Freddie and Jimi are doing "21st Century Boy". Needless to say, Marc is not looking pleased.
Why thankyou
*shhhhh......*
TeaKay Posted Oct 27, 2004
No. Neither did I... Didn't have much choice, though.
Geddington's a village, which is why it doesn't have a station. Mind you, Corby hasn't got a station either. They're planning on building one there, though. Don't knwo why- it'll only be vandalised and stolen.
Marc can join in, surely?
My pleasure Anything else I can help with?
TK[1]
*shhhhh......*
Existential Elevator Posted Oct 28, 2004
They'd really attempt to steal the entire station?
There's even a local village with a train station. Okay, it's only one of them, and there are quite a few, but still..
Actually, him and Freddie are having a girly slap fight at the moment. Jimi's ignoring them and going into a mind-blowing solo.. whoaa
Hey, it's your party, I should be asking you that!
*shhhhh......*
TeaKay Posted Oct 29, 2004
It wouldn't surprise me if they did.
Geddington wouldn't be that great a place to situate a station because there's no railway either.
Wicked! Dead rock start fight! Wooo!
Making sure you're having a good time can only increase my enjoyment.

I suppose if they lifted the foundations out and stuck wheels on them it wouldn't be too difficult.
Lack of rails could also be a problem, I guess..
Erm.. I don't think they're fighting any more. In fact, they should probably get a room Jimi appears to have started playing Voodo Child, which is good, though.
*shhhhh......*
TeaKay Posted Nov 1, 2004
They'd find a way. They're very resourceful when it comes to thievery
Yey!
Looks like I just missed you... actually, your googly online eyes are showing, but where are you?!?
