If I don't get around to it individually, thanks to everyone who has made my hanging out here interesting. I'll always remember this place for what it could have been as well as for what it was and whatever was okay about it was the people.
Thanks people. And later dudettes and dudes or transgenders or whatever. Keep on surfing. It'll take your mind off life as we know it. AAAYYYEEEE!!!
Thanks

I'm glad you came to say goodbye.
I expect to see your name someday in quite another way.
How or why I really could not say.
I will not forget it or your energy.
I would be pleased to find out one day you have all you have hoped for.
Thanks

Hi Annaliese
I've been away for 5 months, and just slowly catching up with h2g2, so I haven't been up with you leaving.
Abbi said it brilliantly. I just want to say too that your presence here has been inspirational for me. While there are a lot of interesting, funny, cool people here on hootoo, there are a handful of people who also have sane enough politics/ethics/soul to make me feel safe, and that it's worth staying.
Mostly I find the human world an incredibly bizarre place, and it's been great having someone of such passion and commitment offering her clarity, time and energy here.
Wishing you all the best. Go well wherever you are
Thanks

I've said it on another thread Analise, but you are a loss to us all. You have provided us with education on the problems your culture has faced and the causes etc. You have been an interesting and stimulating sparring partner in conversation. You have given, I feel, far more than you have taken from me. I'll miss you around here, and like Abbi I hope you get, if not all you wish for, all you deserve, and what is yours by right.
Goodbye friend
tonemonkey
Thanks

Here for your way home one of my favourite quotations ever from The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov.
"...but in order to govern, one needs, after all, to have a precise plan for a certain, at least somewhat decent, length of time. Allow me to ask you, then, how can man govern, if he is not only deprived of the opportunity of making a plan for at least some ridiculously short period - well, say, a thousand years - but cannot even vouch for his own tomorrow?"
Good luck, Analiese!
Thanks

Remind me again why you are going.
I have heard rumors but I think they were all from you.
Thanks

Thanks for the kind words everyone and the not so kind ones too.
Well, Grandmother, it's true. We could have done many splendid things but there's no time. My people usually die young. My cousin died a little over a year ago. She would have been 28 this year. I'm six years younger so I need to go home and make more so there will be some to carry on the struggle after me.
I wish you the best and regret not doing splendid things but my family comes first. Take care.
Thanks

Wing,
Will you still be in email contact or are you eschewing the internet completely?
I would hate to think that I will lose contact with this wonderful person forever.
Congratulations.
Thanks

I forgot to mention this before because I thought we had been introduced, Grandmother. I'm Analiese Farthing Wing but some people call me Rusty. That's where the RAF Wing comes from. Just sos you know now.
Sorry I didn't say so before evidently. I have another name too but it's private for me and my family alone and those who share our heritage.
Love ya later,
Analiese
Thanks

Well, Road, I think I might not have much use for a computer although you never know. I think libraries have them sometimes and if so I'll check the yahoo account from time to time maybe when I get to town. You can get that address from RCO if you want.
But I'm not making any promises because I don't really have the time to fool with this stuff like I've done before. Now I got to work for a living, you know? Build a house, bear and raise kids, cook, run livestock, cultivate some crops maybe. Hunt even a little or get some lazy buck to do it. If I'm lucky. AAAAYYYYEEE!!
It's sort of like things change, people die for example and how do you stay in contact with them? Well you remember maybe and use what they gave you a little now and then maybe. But who knows?
I've taken a lot from here and remembering a lot too. I think I gave enough to make a good trade. I hope you think so too.
It's hard to explain the love I have for my people and the earth. If you're not raised in it I think you just can't appreciate it very much. But knowing there are still people around like us might make you think about it a little, about your people and your land and what it means. I won't give it up.
That's all.
Thanks

Good for you Analise, follow where your soul leads, be true, and feel free to drop by anytime (I think you have my email, incase you think I need any more educating). We met with open minds and I hope we part as friends, I've enjoyed our discussions.
Thanks

Goodbye my newfound and now lost friend. I was hoping to return to our conversation (ok, argument) but now will only have a memory to argue the point with.

I don't want any promises, Wing, that would be selfish.
As always, best wishes.

All the best Analiese. You gave plenty here, I hope it was a good trade for you too.
Enjoy the earth and the stars.

My so dear little RAF Wing,
What a perfectly splendid decision you have made. courageous and full of optimism. I hope that the father of your children will respect your ideals and help you rear the young with the ambitions and sense of justice that their mother has.
I feel priviledged to have known you and even if we have not embarked on the task which we set ourselves I am so proud of what you are going to do and your motivation for doing it.
I would love our paths to cross and perhaps one day they will. A few people have my private address so if you ever would like to keep up this super friendship I would be so honoured to do so.
Go well, my dear sweet friend, and never lose your ideals nor your marvellous sense of justice.
With deep affection and profound respect,
Your loving Grandmother
