sorry skugga
Goes to show how completely blasted my brain is... I can't even read English anymore...
At least you won't be in your thirties... worst age imaginable...

Mh, liked it much more than the time from 18 to 25...

I'm listening to Minor Threat. Hey - I do listen to other bands too you know! But damn it's good.

Minor Threat are brilliant! Do you know Rites of Spring?

Do I?! They are one of my all-time favourite bands. Their album is in my top ten.
I also have One Last Wish and Happy Go Licky, their later incarnations.
Another researcher that knows of ROS!

"Circles" is still one of the songs, I almost start to cry listening to it...
When making tapes for friends, it's on it every-, every-, everytime...

*thinks about installing some kind of MP3-exchange* Only, I have the problem of listening to my records still on vinyl...

No, unfortunatly not...

They're at least equally as good as ROS. They're like ROS combined with Embrace (that's the Dischord band not the... other... one). In fact that's pretty much what they were. I got their CD at a Fugazi gig, dunno how easy it is to get hold of otherwise.

*grins* Saw Fugazi ages ago "I am a patient boy, I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait...
Great band, too...
Never was straight edge, anyway, but lots of people over here were... well, tried at least...

Couldn't be straight edge, I'd bore the pants off myself at parties! Plus, in the land of great wines, it'd be a waste.
Love that Fugazi song, they played it last Saturday at the rock club I go dancing at. They also played The Liars, who are as punk as punk gets.
Rock'n'roll is sexy! Case in point: "Bang" by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
You ain't a baby no more... baby! *plays with hair*
Briliant.

Fugazi. Yes. Saw them live in Bordeaux in the early 90's. Good gig.
The guys looked very serious on stage though...
Age. Never bothered me, never will.
4 track cassette recorders. Sold one about 10 days ago. I can't believe I managed to get 150 euros for the stuff! (about the same in $ or roughly £100). A lot of very decent LPs & singles were recorded with that sort of equipment but no one wants the damn things anymore.
Straight edge. Plenty of great bands but the lifestyle is not for me either (even though I had to completely pack up the booze a bit less than a year ago). And as Greta mentioned, it would be hard to be straight edge in the country of great wines ().

I never got the whole 'straight edge' thing...

4 track recorders - I still use 'em! In fact I have two linked up to give me decent 6 - 8 track recordings ....... good quality when you are a basic guitar band.
Minor Threat are good - unlike some sXe /hardcore bands, they still have an ear for tunes ...... mind you i can't talk, I'm a big Black Flag fan!!

Hey, Black Flag had some catchy songs - especially their cover of Louie Louie!
I like a few hardcore bands, and even fewer sXe hardcore bands. Some aren't just tuneless but also infuriatingly self-righteous and preachy. Most early Dischord stuff is great, however, as were Gorilla Biscuits.
