Yeah, 'Seattle was a riot' is a good song. I keep meaning to buy something by Rise Against too
There are some bands which I find a bit annoying (Zero Down, NUFAN, Mad Caddies) but overall it's quite a good compilation of more melodic, mostly American punk.

Thank you for this, No 6 - and I really *love* Bad News - especially their version of "Bohemian Rhapsody", I can't remember laughing that much.
And: Yes, WIZO are from Germany - ask my boyfriend, he will know more.

My favourite Bad News quote is:
"Well, Jimmy Page wrote Stairway to Heaven when he was 29. I could play it by the time I was 18 ..... I think that says a lot!"

Can't remember the exact quote, but I remember reading that the Manic Street Preachers were formed when James Dean Bradfield saw Bobby Gillespie "drum" for The Jesus and Mary Chain, and he thought, if he can get away with that, maybe I can form a band and be huge.
Not entirely wrong, was he.

i'm surprised it took me this long to find this page, but i want to join.
I'm into new punk, mainly stuff on the legendary Kung Fu label. (Vandals, Tsunami Bomb, mi6, Ataris and Audio Karate <-- the best band in the world!)
Also like Anti-flag, Tuuli, real mcKensies, Bouncing Souls, Lagwagon, Less Than Jake and others...

They are an all girl band from Canada. They play 'pop with punk attitudes' but it's quite good. It's a lot more pop than i normally listen to, it could probably be described as chick-punk. They were in the uk recently doing a tour, they're really cool girls and they do live the punk life-style. You can go to www.tuuli.com and they've got some mp3's to download. I recomend "rockstar boyfriends."

Their names reminds me of something too, although I don't remember hearing them.
Sorry for not adding you to the 'List of Punks' yet P. Moose, I've been having connections problems

that's ok, I've just purchased the Anti-Flag/Bouncing Souls BYO split cd. It's cool. It's got an Anti-flag cover of "ever fallen in love with someone(that you shouldn't have fallen in love with)" on it.

Researcher 177704 Posted Mar 12, 2003
I thought the BYO split was OK, but that the Anti-Flag songs were a bit lacking. The Buzzcocks cover was cool, and 'No borders, no nations' was good but the rest was kind of sub-standard to their other stuff. They're a good band though.
I'm not to familiar with the Bouncing Souls, although I thought their songs on the split were probably better.
I'll add you in a minute PM, I promise.

I take it you're a big A-F fan then Rocket Man? (hehe that rhymes!)
What in your view is their best album, I've got Mobilize, which is good. It's only 8 tracks long though, and then it has a few live tracks to bunk up the price and sales. and it now comes with an AF records sampler. Pipedown are scary. waffling now...
I'm still not on the list...
