I liked Buck Rogers, but the others are getting irritating. Especially as my brother plays the albums REALLY LOUD!!!

Don't think so... too left-wing and probably anti-war a smiley, that one.

Maybe we should campaign for a punk smiley. It would inevitably have a mohawk - but that raises an issue of what it IS to be punk...

lazy.
well if people are going to make an issue of what it is to BE punk let as long as u got your lil punk or u could put one on the page like this
and then with a pen draw on the screen then theres no arguments

Hmm, well, much against my better judgement, you can sign me up, though it's a long time since I considered myself 'punk' or indeed bought anything 'punk', and have a firm (if mischievious belief) that the best punk album since The Damned's 'The Black Album' was actually Leftfield's 'Leftism'...
Still, I'm old enough to remember The Damned still being a group of pillocks which included and ex-gravedigger, a man in a nurses uniform, a rodent and an ex-memeber of Eddie and the Hot Rods, young enough to have known that the Pistols were over by the time '..B*ll*cks' came out, and just wise enough to know that the Clash were always the ones that really knew about music...

Wecome aboard, Blues Shark ..... it can often be a stormy sea here but the crew members all seem to have their heads screwed on the right way

Best not to have me on board then. After all, I still remember that Ultravox were a better band before a member of Slick joined...

Ah, the curse of Midge Ure! Whatever made them enlist his services? I always thought they could of been seen as the other Joy Division before his arrival.

I think Foxx got bored (and disillusioned with the band - Currie was angling for a more 'poppy' sound, and the loss of guitarist Robin... sort of nailed the coffin shut for Foxx) and decided he wanted some of Gary Numan's action - which was only fair because Numan had been VERY honest about ripping off Ultravox for all they were worth...so he made the rather excellent Metamatic and then went a little loopy with rubbish like The Garden...Of course, he continued to sell s*d all (despite two appearances on TOTP (which had a somewhat broader policy about who was allowed on in hose days), but it was the thought that counted...
Last seen working on soundtracks for computer games, I believe, under the rather more prosaic name of Dennis Leigh...

Welcome Blues Shark, I'll add you to the list in a minute or so
SDM, thanks for the two new CDs. The garage one is cool (of course), I haven't had a chance to listen to the SLFs one yet, but no doubt it'll be good also
A punk smiley would be cool, but then maybe it would have a really crap mohawk and people would use it in grossly inappropriate situations ("Have you heard that new band the Strokes? !"). would have a nice tri-hawk if the gaps were larger.

Welcome Blue Shark. Nice to have someone else old enough to consider the Clash as essential
I´m old enough to have seen the Clash in concert.

I think I had the same, somewhat scary experience about the same time as you had. Infinite Improbability Drive gone mad?
Things seem normal now
