I am sorry you felt the need to do that - and further sorry that the mods accept that the posts are "zappable"
W4 has behaved outrageously, and all I ask is that he considers his recent attacks and takes remedial action - as I am the hot topic of your gossip here I figure it is a place for me to join in.
As for the bullies.....I suggest you read
When Bully Billy hits someone
It isn't nice to see.
But I would rather watch it,
Than have him hitting me.

Dear AHL, you would not have become a 'topic' here if there had been no need. Can't you be happy and nice and try to get on with your fellow MBers?
And following folk around, such as here, is known as 'trolling'!
Look here, stop the aggression and misery everywhere. If you have a 'problm' in real life then talk to us here (not necessarily with W4aT or me). Or 'go fly a kite' ~~~it's a great day for doing so! I'm off for a short break very soon. Hoorah!
Have a happy week.

I maintain that the aggression was all from W4T - and I think it fair to ask for an apology on the site where the gossip has become even more hostile.
Have a great break

Frank! How lovely to see you here!
Now you must behave in an honourable way here.
I have been happy the last 5 days, Frank. I walked in the fields at the beginning of the week, and beside the coast yesterday. I visited a dear friend in Wimborne and had tea and crumpets with her on Wednesday afternoon. And I had a drink, with a friend, on Monday and Tuesday evening in a hotel (a soft drink I might add!! I've discovered J2O fruit juices. Delicious).
'Tis great to have you here with us. Do chat away whenever you wish to.

Hello dear Polly,
The weather has been a bit fierce of late and I am loath to embrace this reluctant Spring. They tell me things will get better. I turned my heating off for a time but had to put it on again yesterday.
I am glad you have had a happy week meeting friends. I have quite casual friends that I meet n the pub. We do not extend our relationships, and do things together, like people do when they are young and fancy free. I guess I am a bit of an old stick in the mud.
My Son in Gib is fixing up a trip for me in May so that I get to meet his bride to be's father before the wedding in June. He is a doctor so I had better put on a clean shirt. My other son refuses to attend this function because they are, and always have been, like Cain and Abel. This is a great sadness to me.Looks like I shall be the lone representitive of my family at this do.
Oh my! don't I go on!
Good to have you back in the fold Polly. Some of my kind cyber friends are working on Anna and the mods to try to get me out of pre-mod, as you can see. Fingers crossed then. I really do try not to upset people, but some are very awkward. Well, back to Mornington Crescent for some more poems. Love to Polly from Frank XXX

Hi, Polly,
Glad to hear you've had an enjoyable few days. J2O, eh? That's a very popular drink amongst my badminton circle - though not, of course, with me. I should hope it's jolly good, given what they charge for it at our usual watering-hole - almost as much as a pint of the real stuff!
Sorry you got involved in that imbroglio the other day. I'm afraid I missed most of it, as I was out all day on Monday and Tuesday. Did you happen to notice if Frank's post came through in real time? If so, or even if not, maybe I should direct him towards some of the poetry threads on hootoo. I know of one or two that I think would be right up his street.
Take care,

Please make sure, darling Frank, that as well as wearing a clean shirt your nails are cut short and sparkling clean when visiting Gibralta!
Hey, it should be fun or at least an adventure. I love adventures.
I have open in front of me 'A Book Of Beauty'. I may have mentioned it once before to you or W4aT. And I was just reading William Cowpers's 'Winter Evening'. It is a perfect description of what I adore about the winter:
Now stir the fire, and close the shutters fast,
Let fall the curtains, wheel the sofa round,
And, while the bubbling and loud-hissing urn
Throws up a steamy column, and the cups,
That cheer but not inebriate, wait on each,
So let us welcome peaceful evening in...
The above lines always remind me of arriving home from school with my brother, in the winter, when I was very young, and my parents being there. The fire was always buring brightly and there was often home-made soup to warm my brother and I. It remains the cosiest of memories of a happy family with little money but masses of love.
I've got my heating on tonight. My tiny fingers go quite blue when I feel suddenly chilled.
If my brother had still been alive we would have been the greatest of chums. We rarely saw other children to play with and were always content to play together. In adult life he and I often shopped together, or had a day in London (where he worked) and went to the theatre in the evening. I loved being with him. He would have been a wonderful friend to have now. And because of this I find it so sad when siblings do not get on togther. Time here is brief and our closest loved ones should be cherished....
I also cherish my long-standing friends. I don't spend a huge amount of time with any of them as I enjoy my own company (when feeling happy!). But for me the 'old' friends are very worth keeping. I am hoping to meet-up soon with a neighbour I had for some years. She was an art teacher and loved jazz. We often listened to music together - she with her jazz and me with my classical. We haven't seen each other for a few years and I miss her. We were talking about meeting-up only this morning. I guess that I am passionate about my friendships and loves, and don't like to lose any.
I might watch the second half of Middlemarch tonight. It is already getting late (I didn't realise that it is past 8pm). And I must make a nice cup of tea soon. A visitor stayed overnight then left early this morning. I am a little lost at the moment.
Have a peaceful evening, dear Frank.
Hugs,
Polly

W4aT! Hello dear friend. Seems ages since we spoke!
I 'let-off steam' on Monday! I couldn't help it, W4aT. I'd had such an emotional Mother's day and was still feeling very sad and fragile. I really dislike arguing. It's horrid. But I was in great need to calm down and 'chill'! And I wasn't able to contain myself any longer! Shortly afterwards I 'escaped' to Dorset.
I know that that fruit drink is expensive but in Somerfields they have got an offer on at the moment - 4 bottles for under £4.
When it is chilled it is delicious. It's either that or Guinness when I am out and I fear that the Guinness is more fattening!
I think that Frank's post here did get through in 'real-time'.
Frank writes some really lovely verse.
Now I must boil the kettle etc. Either of you care for a cup of redbush tea??
Warm wishes to you, W4aT.

Thanks for the tea, Polly. I hope Mother's Day was emotional for you in a good way. MOH had a very pleasant evening, I think, as Grace I invited us and MiL round to hers for dinner. Grace II was there as well, but not Grace III, who was away in Spain on a school exchange trip. We had a lovely meal, and then the ladies watched 'Little Women' on a large screen TV, while I went and played on the pooter. You probably know, Polly, but Frank perhaps does not, that H2G2 has a games room, with all sorts of game threads, including Mornington Crescent and at least two line-at-a-time limerick threads. What you may not know is that a poster called Jabberwock has several games conversations going on in his personal space. One of them is called BAD POETRY (see here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F2606954?thread=5718865&skip=2340&show=20 ) where people post all sorts of weird and wonderful pomes, ranging from truly awful to pretty good. Another thread which Frank might like - and maybe you, as well, Polly - is called New Poetry Game (see here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F2606954?thread=3670348&post=76838376#p76838376 ). In this one, you are asked to write (or quote) a poem on a nominated subject. Whoever does that nominates the topic for the next poem. I reckon you'd be brilliant at that, Frank. BTW Polly, I know you've had a good week, apart from Monday perhaps, but do you really think it's a good idea to be doing somersaults with your back the way it is?

Hi Polly and Tickle,
With what goes on "over there" you might see that my thoughts this fine sunny Sunday are not on love or poetry, but only on man's inhumanity to man. Something very strange about how power is distributed in "that other place". I like to stick it out, despite the lack of welcome "there", mainly on a matter of principle. Lack of communication between host and party-goers makes for a miserable party,
don't you think.
Well my dears, back now to that "other place" just for a few moments, then it's off down the pub to read my papers and meet some friends.
Catch you both later,
fxx

Frank,
Could you possibly post that limerick on the BAD POETRY thread mentioned above? I'd love to read it.

frankandsense Posted Mar 29, 2009
Hi there Tickle,
I have not got round to "Very bad poetry" yet but I expect I will do in time. Meanwhile, as far as I can remember it, here is the fairly innocuous limerick under moderation in "that other place".
The Brits are inclined to be rude
To people who are yellow hued
Which is not very nice
Yet they like the fried rice
Which is served with food that's not stewed.
You can submit this to them if you like and see if you get any reaction other than an approving murmur.
Catch you later.

Hmm, can't see much wrong with that, Frank. Maybe the mods regard it as a racist slur on the British. What grounds did they give for removing it?
Glad to see you posting on the BP thread. It's not restricted to bad poetry, you know: there's plenty of that, but also some quite good stuff. Hope to see you there again.

They don't really pin down their objection. Could have been a cat pee job. Don't know. I see the Hairy poem it favour of the English was modded tonight, followed by lots of naughty comments.
I rather like the challenge presented in "That Place" but the long time delays are a pain. I can always drop in here and get my thoughts posted in real time. Quite a nice change.
Muse not with me tonight so off to bed. Tara!

I've been posting poetry all over the place all morning. I do get a strange sense of isolation over at the other place; very little response because when my thoughts arrive the conversation has moved on.
I wonder if the moderators have any idea of the pain they cause.
Eh Bein! San Fairy Ann, as all the good fairies say.
Chat later.

And today, suddenly free from pre-mod. Was a long struggle but I got there in the end. I wonder what that was all about?
Glass of ale to celebrate, I think.
