frank - I can only reflect what I see. Just look back on your own actions haphazardly posting just what YOU like with not a care for any disruption caused - a little bit of self assessment never does anyone any harm.
And no matter what age you are, grow up!

I have watched you doing the same thing time and time again. You set up a very restrictive situation then accuse anyone who tries to join in of cheating or causing trouble. What you cannot ever see is that it is you who are the trouble maker.
Explain what you meant by saying I was exercising my "Peccadilloes".
What are these peccadilloes that I have? Spell it out AHL.
You drive everyone away from the threads that you set up. You are just too controlling for anyone to have fun with you. Heaven knows, I have tried to accommodate you. It is hopeless. You are just too awkward and too aggressive. You cannot walk away from your schoolmaster days. You want to be in charge and in total control. I cannot stomach such treatment and such insulting behaviour. I am sorry, I have tried.

He can't be as old as we think, Frank (or as old as he claims) if he's a licence payer.

You're as old as you feel, they say, feel about 17 at times. Can't be bad, can it? I feel a bad poem coming on. Catch you later.

An early morning suggestion having slept on the to's and fro's of yesterday's submissions.
On most of the other threads I participate in, I try not to respond to others who antagonise. I am trying not to rise to such goading - it helps with the old BP, don't ya know!
So, I would suggest that, where we find other subscribers to this thread are not participating in the happy spirit that was originally intended, we simply ignore them. I realise that this very suggestion will probably give rise to some evil repostes, but we can rise above such things, can't we?
After all, this thread started as a response to problems being encountered with the same individual that we are seeing now, and that was over a year ago. Is it not time to rise above such things?

Ignoring folder, (who has not been involved in any recent controversy, so why he thinks he needs to squeak up is beyond me)
W4, YOU started the vendetta - YOU end it by giving a genuine apology.
All of you, go back and read what W4 has said about me, when I have responded only with humour (and, of course, the evidence that W4 was wrong, and then hypocritical)
As for frank - all I ever said was "bide your time" - good advice as it turns out, far better than the advice "friends" gave that he should flaunt the rules.
But, I see that self assessment is alien to you all, so you will still need me to continue to prick your collective conscience.

When I join a community I like to be advised on the behaviour expected therein by the legitimate organising authority, and not by any individual of that community, since I have experienced the way that those exercising lazy policing can be usurped by overpowering if unauthorised individuals, who then assume powers and consider themselves indispensable.
I do not wish to be treated like a child by a person who displays childish behaviour himself.
It is by allowing such tribal behaviour within any society that bigots rise to power.
This is not Zimbabwe.
I do not remember being asked to vote for AHL as leader of the pack.

Prickly consciences seem to abound!
House rules, frank, include all sorts of mores and conventions as well as rules.
And never forget, frank, that your "pals" lengthened your time in purdah, not me, by giving bad advice, and never forget that your "pals" got the poetry thread closed, not me.
I choose not to lead, so don't even think of electing me - I leave the mounting of petitions to such as you and your pals. But I will exercise my right to voice an open and honest opinion when appropriate.
In the end everything here is a game, and you choose which games you wish to play - if, for instance, you choose "football" you cannot suddenly insist that you play it with an oval ball when everyone else is happy with the conventional round one.
Keep having your prayer meetings, I am sure you will all see the light eventually.

To you, every engagement is a challenge to your assumed authority.
You seek to constrain others within confines of your own making.
You are living in a world you have created for yourself and seem astonished at others reluctance to bow to your assumed authority.
You reject friendship and you generate animosity.
And you just can't see yourself doing it.
Your coping mechanism is to transfer your own shortcomings onto others.
You live in a world where you see yourself surrounded by bullies, yet you seem unaware of your own bullying behaviour.
You have many admirable qualities, but these are overshadowed by your anger and your need to control people and events.
You do not seek to make yourself attractive to others. You throw insults around like confetti.
The only place where this behaviour is effective is in a classroom full of frightened students, each trying not to be the next to invoke Sir's wrath.
You are just a hole in the wall.

A Hole in the wall is just a place where a brick used to be.

OK, frank, at least you have made a start at self assessment.

This is a BBC page - if you mention my logon name you invite me to me to respond - also note, that I only ever respond - I invite you to look back and you will find ALL problems started with you or your newfound "friends".
Unfortunately for you, I will not sit back while you heap bile on me.

Yet you expect others to sit back while you pile bile on them.
This may be a BBC page, but it is also Polly's page, and most of those who use it are here by invitation. It is meant to be a friendly place.
Polly thrives in a peaceful atmosphere and shrinks from conflict.
Polly made it clear earlier that you are intruding, by coming here.

frankie, baby, show me where I have poured any bile. All I have ever asked you to do is be polite.
