Hoakley Doakley Doc
Mine's a little different, it's not sooo much a dream as that I'm dreaming and I NEED to wake myself up because I feel there's someone there......I force myself awake and then find it very hard to get back to sleep as each time I start to "nod off" I have this overwhelming feeling of someone being present
I've thought about it a lot and it doesn't occur with any particular dream...I don't often remember what I dream about
I do, however, have nitemares regularly.....nothing in particular, again I rarely remember what they are.....
Should I just book myself a "vacation" in the nearest facility???? lol

yeah, i would
no seriously, all you need is a doobie===~~
ahem, back on topic.
do you have abandonment issues? do you feel extremely lonely when you are alone? do you hate your own company? i think you need to ask yourself these questions.
maybe you have a problem in life that you feel, either consciously or sub-consciously, is bearing over you. making you uncomfortable and uneasy.
are you a Virgo?

ahhh, pisces. always torn between two paths. but nothing to do with your dream
well, quite a lot of people have the feeling of someone looking over them. this is why some people refuse to sleep facing the door for fear of seeing someone walk in!!!
i am torn myself as to whether you sense this because you are insecure un yourself about a particular waking life problem and need to feel that someone is there. or whether you feel that someone is overbearing, or unwelcome in your life you experience this just before you 'nod off', this is the twilight between sleep when it is the days events that float around at the back of the mind, sometimes with a scary vividness.
i think you need to ask yourself if you are scared by their presence or just deterred? whether the presence reminds you of anyone in particular (but don't blame the real person if it does), and are you thinking anything in particular when this phenomenom occurs?
all in all this is a very psychological thing that only you could possibly know the answer to.

I keep a dream journal at U208521. Here is my latest dream:
Dream that I find an apartment that is mine that I forgot I even had. I walk in and look around. I notice an orange and white striped fish that is swimming in the air. Its fins sway gently, as if it is underwater. It darts around at eye level, flying in close to a bookcase. I walk around looking some more, when I make a grisly discovery - an aquarium which has evaporated, killing most of the fish. The one that survived is the one "swimming" in the air. It had adapted, and learned to breath air.

well this is one i haven't experienced before
lets go for the obvious
an apartment representing your home life. the fact you forgot you had it could change that representation to a future plan that you have disregarded for a while or are thinking of disregarding for your home life.
lets say the fish is you, it's bright colouring reminiscent of how you see yourself.
have you let something in your homelife go unattended for a while? or do you feel left out of a plan?
the fish flowed close to a bookcase. my first impression of bookcases is books (obviously), but this indicates knowledge. you may know something now that is important for your plans, or you may need to find something out.

Cool. I like the idea that the fish could be me, because it was a very pretty fish. Bright, and graceful. (It was a very vivid dream by the way.) Here's my take on it: Well, I used to live in an apartment of my own, but then I had to move in with my parents for health reasons. My family moved me home when I was still in the hospital, so I didn't actually participate in the move. I am always dreaming that I still have an apartment, and have just "fogotten" about it. In the dream I felt really guilty that most of the fish had died. I think the fish in the dream represent my hopes and plans when I was living on my own. Most of those have "died", and the only ones that have survived are the plans that can be adapted to my present circumstances.

that sounds spot on to me
i didn't know about your health problems and having to move out and re-adapt, if i did that is basically what i would have said, honest i hope you are well again, i get a general positive feeling from the dream. and the vividness should not be ignored. the small details will be personal to you. a qualified dream geek would probably be able to tell you how personal

I'm glad I came across your thread - I just love dreams. I hope you get a lot more posts so I can read all of them. You might want to pop over to my dream journal and read some of my other dreams, for a lark.

yeah, i will do that
you can help with the analysis of dreams. i think i will make a guide entry for this as it seems to have been fairly popular for the last 2 days.
i wonder if there is a chance of getting it put on a front page link

Hi Creachy
I used to have this dream quite a lot toward the end of a long term relationship, so maybe thats the reason for it then
As to why it has returned the past few months, well the only thing I could possibly relate it to would be that I've made lots of personal changes, mainly my image over the past 12 months and this has met with mixed reactions.
I can't honestly say that there is anyone who I may be "focusing" on....the only thing is that for some reason the presence feels "male".
Perhaps I'll just take that medication now thank you matron?? lmao
Have to say that when I came across this thread I'd been thinking a lot about the dram and had been thinking of having it analysed
Good luck with having this done as a page, think it would get a great response
Key: Complain about this post
