{B4 pats her on the head.}

There, there, Ti. Just remember what Robert Heinlein said in one of his 'intermissions' in his book, "Time Enough for Love," the chronicles of Lazarus Long:

"Little girls, like butterflies, need no excuse."

Awww...

...nope! That's taking the easy way out!

And I'm not a little girl - I'm pretty much the average height (I think): 169 cm - so there!smiley - nahnah

Robert A. Heinlein, eh? I think I need to read more of his books... but I've got a very worn pocket book with the title 'Assignment in Eternity' printed in 1954 that I found in some obscure book shop - do you think it would have any value?

I don't know, Titania. Usually the value of an item is determined by the regard the owner has for it, or the desire of the one who wishes to acquire it. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." If you enjoyed reading it, then it's a treasure. If you post it on e-Bay and someone wants it, the treasure becomes theirs.

*dusting away cobwebs and unmentionables*

Just wanted to say thank you for all your comments on my journal postings (including the most recent one). You and Hyp seem to be the ones I'm most closely 'tuned up' with because you seem to pick up or sense the same things I do.

Thank you!smiley - smiley

You are indeed welcome, Titania. You'll doubtless find the additional praise I've heaped upon you (regarding your communications) in my latest post in the Atelier (9CXth: Post 1388, near the end).

{B4 picks up a few sundry items, tidying the place up on his way back out.}
I've really got to run the vacuum (hoover) over the carpet here. And open the windows, as it's gotten a bit musty.
{He pops open windows on his way around the room, then digs into a closet, to pull forth an upright vac. After a few minutes of diligent effort, he puts the appliance back in its cubby, fluffs the drapes, then closes up the windows so the Winter chill won't adversely affect the furnishings. He sets the thermostat accordingly and props a couple of logs on the grate in the fireplace.}
Well, that should do for a while. Anyone else wonders in, at least they'll be comfortable.
smiley - ok
As for you, Young Lady, I'll see you in the Atelier or on other threads of HooToo...

I'm on it, Ti. I've got 4 Journal Entries ready to go, and I'm working on 2 more, even as I type...

I need to download the first one today, though, don't I? Thanks for the nudge and reminder.

As to this:
"OK, so what exactly set you off nosing through and reviving old journals of mine?"
smiley - biro
I was actually weeding out 'old, dead' convos from years ago, as many as I could easily determine had stopped in their tracks and would never see any further traffic. It was ALL the convos in my history list. When I wandered back into the two by you that I 'revived', it was because I still have a curious streak in me, one that nags at me for closure. The two poems in question held that quality of not being finished, so I had to ask. And who better to ask than the author?
smiley - biggrin
So...
1. Please let me know if it's okay for me to submit "Silence" to Bel and Dimitri for smiley - thepost as a January article.
2. Please let me know whatever became of the interactive poetry writing exercise. If you actually finished it, please let me read a completed copy. I like poetry.
smiley - bluebutterfly
Besides, I like your work / stuff / poems.

How kind of you to mention me and Tomas Tranströmer in the same posting - and how delightful you know of him. Never sure how much foreigners know about the Nobel litterature price.

Bygones are bygones, as far as I'm concerned, I rarely look back, because I've lost track of the train of thought I had at the time.

1. Feel free to do whatever you want with that one.

2. No, that itch never developed into anything substantial, sorry.

Cool! Then I'll post "Silence" to Bel and Dmitri as a collaborative effort, and see if they'll include it as the "First of the Year" articles. They're always looking for new stuff, you know...

My apologies for the last bit. I didn't get to see what transpired for the last few Hidden & Removed postings on the other thread, but I can presume it was neither good nor productive. I'm working on the issues at this end. Be at peace wherever you are.
Bless.
